    Abstract: An exemplary embodiment provides a display device including: a display part configured to include a display part color filter; and a peripheral part disposed at the upper side of the display part and including an inspection pattern for checking an alignment of the display part color filter. The inspection pattern may include a plurality of color filters having colors and reference patterns disposed at at least one side of the plurality of color filters. A number of the plurality of color filters of each color corresponds to a number of shots of a division exposure process. Adjacent color filters among the plurality of color filters may be disposed at different heights.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a substrate including a display region having pixels and a non-display region disposed along at least part of the periphery of the display region; first lines in the non-display region of the substrate; a first insulating layer disposed on the first lines; second lines disposed on the first insulating layer in the non-display region; a second insulating layer disposed on the second lines; a third line disposed on the second insulating layer, the third line overlapping portions of the first and second lines in the non-display region; a third insulating layer disposed on the third line, the third insulating layer exposing a portion of the third line in a first region that overlaps with the first and second lines; and a fourth line on the third insulating layer, the fourth line overlapping the third line and in direct contact with the third line in the first region.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels and divided into a plurality of regions, a data driver generating a plurality of reference gamma voltages based on a gamma control signal and including a data driving integrated circuit applying a data signal generated using the plurality of reference gamma voltages to a corresponding pixel among the plurality of pixels, a memory storing a plurality of gamma voltage data corresponding to a plurality of gamma curves of each of the plurality of regions, and a signal controller determining characteristics of a plurality of images divided and displayed in the plurality of regions using an input image signal, selecting the gamma curves corresponding to the plurality of regions according to the characteristics, and reading gamma voltage data corresponding to the selected gamma curve from the memory to generate the gamma control signal.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display including: a display area which includes an upper substrate, a lower substrate, pixels and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the upper and lower substrates; and a measuring unit including a tag portion, a common voltage applying portion, and a pixel voltage applying portion, in which the common voltage applying portion and the tag portion, and the pixel voltage applying portion and the tag portion are connected to each other, a data conductor, a common electrode, a passivation layer, and a pixel electrode are disposed on the common voltage applying portion with substantially the same thickness as at least one of the pixels of the display area, a first part of the data conductor of the common voltage applying portion directly contacts the pixel electrode, and a second part of the data conductor of the common voltage applying portion directly contacts the common electrode.

    Abstract: The inventive concept relates to a display device and a driving method thereof. A display device according to an exemplary embodiment of the inventive concept includes: a display panel including a plurality of pixels and a plurality of data lines; a data driver applying data voltages to the plurality of data lines; a signal controller controlling the data driver; and a graphic controller inputting an image signal that is dithered based on dithering patterns of one set to the signal controller, wherein the signal controller includes a dithering cycle detector configured to detect a dithering cycle which is a cycle in which the dithering patterns of one set are repeated, and a still image detector configured to determine whether a current frame is a frame displaying a still image or a frame displaying a motion picture image based on the dithering cycle and the image signal.
