    Abstract: A substrate-cutting method includes preparing a first substrate in which a plurality of first active areas spaced apart from each other and a first non-active area surrounding the first active areas are defined in a plane, forming an adhesive layer on the first substrate where the adhesive layer is disposed within the first active areas, disposing a second substrate in which a plurality of second active areas spaced apart from each other and a second non-active area surrounding the second active areas are defined in the plane, and cutting a cutting line of the second substrate, which corresponds to a boundary between the second active areas and the second non-active area, using a laser beam. The adhesive layer does not overlap the cutting line of the second substrate.

Detecting, by a laser-sensing part, reflected light that is reflected from a surface of the panel protective layer exposed by cutting the support plate and changing the first laser beam to a second laser beam. Performing a second cutting operation of sequentially cutting the panel protective layer, the display panel, and the window module with the second laser beam.

The irradiating of the laser beam includes first irradiating the laser beam under a first driving condition to provide a first portion of the beam irradiation line at the first area, stopping driving of the laser beam while changing the first driving condition to a second driving condition different from the first driving condition, after the first irradiating of the laser beam, and second irradiating the laser beam under the second driving condition to provide a second portion of the beam irradiation line at the second area, after the stopping of the driving of the laser beam.

The calculating of the offset includes obtaining a first offset defined as a displacement between points on the processing and panel marks, and obtaining a second offset defined as an angle of the panel mark with respect to the processing mark.
