Abstract: An elevator installation system and method is disclosed that includes a support structure having a first surface and a second surface. The support structure is oriented such that the first surface faces in a first direction and the second surface faces in a second direction opposite the first direction. The system further includes a hoist supporting the support structure such that at least a portion of the hoist is positioned facing the second surface.
