Abstract: A workbench application is configured to present an interactive search display that includes a search field, and perform, using a search engine and a set of one or more search terms entered in the search field by a user, a search of one or more databases that collectively store policy information for a plurality of insurance policies. The application also presents to the user results corresponding to information returned by the search of the database(s), with the results including an entry for a first person associated with at least one of the insurance policies, and an interactive control associated with the entry for the first person. The application also receives a user input specifying a particular relationship between the first person and a loss event, and identifies, based upon the relationship, one or more loss reporting fields of a loss reporting tool.

Abstract: In a computer-implemented method for facilitating handling, by a user of a computing device, of a call from an insurance customer regarding a loss event, an interactive search display may be provided. A set of one or more search terms entered by the user may be used to perform a search of one or more databases storing policy information. A set of results and an interactive control may be presented to the user. The results may include an entry for a first person. A particular relationship between the first person and the loss event, specified by the user via the interactive control, and information associated with the first person, may be used to cause loss report information to be automatically added to one or more loss reporting fields. The loss report information may be caused to be stored in a claims database as a part of a loss report record.

Abstract: A method includes receiving an indication that a communication is to be sent from the first party to a second party, and, for the communication from the first party to the second party, generating a code that encodes an indication of a communication routing between the first party and the second party. The computer-implemented method further includes embedding the code into the communication such that the code is sent with the communication from the first party to the second party, receiving a response to the communication, wherein the response to the communication includes the embedded code, and decoding the embedded code to determine the communication routing between the first party and the second party. Still further, the computer-implemented method includes causing the response to the communication to be routed to the first party based on the determined communication routing.

Abstract: The present embodiments relate to enhancing the online customer experience and handling of auto, home, and/or other insurance claims. A website and/or graphical user interface may offer customers clear instruction on what is needed from them to process their claim. An online self-service channel may allow an insurance customer to access claim status information. The online self-service channel may provide “My Action Items” list functionality for customers, such that they become aware of pending items on their claim(s) which require action on their part to expedite the claim process, such as uploading photos, forms, or receipts. The actions items may be automatically created, such as by a server or electronic claim system tracking the progress of an insurance claim. The self-service channel may include an indication that the customer has completed the action item, and an indication that the insurance provider has confirmed the completion of the customer's action item.

Abstract: In a computer-implemented method for facilitating handling, by a user of a computing device having one or more display screens, of a call from an insurance customer regarding a loss event, a caller identification system may be accessed by one or more servers to determine a phone number associated with the call from the insurance customer. The phone number may be used to automatically retrieve customer information associated with the insurance customer from one or more databases of an insurance provider. The customer information may include a name of the insurance customer and/or a policy number of an insurance policy of the insurance customer. A customer overview, including the retrieved name and/or the retrieved policy number, may be displayed to the user on the one or more display screens.
