An information processing apparatus is provided that includes a display control unit that controls a display so as to display a virtual object by using a first display parameter in a first state where it is determined that the virtual object displayed by the display is hidden by at least one real object as viewed from a first user of the display and display the virtual object by using a second display parameter different from the first display parameter in a second state where it is determined that the virtual object is hidden by real objects more than that in the first state as viewed from the first user. It is possible to apply the present disclosure to, for example, a device included in an augmented reality system.

The present technology relates to a display device capable of improving visibility of an image. A display device includes: a projection unit adapted to project projection light in order to display an image; a direction change unit adapted to change a direction of the projection light; a projection plane visible from outside; and a drive unit adapted to set, on the projection plane or the outside, a projection position of the image by the projection light by changing the direction of the projection light changed by the direction change unit. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a robot type display device.
