摘要: A rechargeable lithium battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte including a lithium salt, wherein at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode includes a current collector, an electrode tab extending from the current collector, an active material layer disposed on the current collector, and a passivation film formed on at least one of the current collector and the electrode tab. The negative active material includes Si at about 0.1 wt % to about 32 wt % in amount based on a total weight of the negative active material. wherein, in Chemical Formula 1, A is a substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic chain or (—C2H4—O—C2H4-)n, and n is an integer from 1 to 10.
