Abstract: Provided are an image signal processor, an operating method of the image signal processor, and an application processor including the image signal processor. The image signal processor includes a downscaling circuit configured to generate a first image signal by downscaling an input image signal; an image processing engine configured to generate a second image signal by performing a plurality of image processing operations on the first image signal; a first upscaling circuit configured to generate a third image signal by upscaling the second image signal; a second upscaling circuit configured to generate a fourth image signal by upscaling the first image signal; a correction information generating circuit configured to generate an image information signal by extracting information on image quality loss of the third image signal from the input image signal and the fourth image signal; and a recomposition circuit configured to generate an output image signal by recomposing the third image signal and the image information signal.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises a communication module, a memory, and a processor functionally connected with the communication module and the memory, wherein the processor may be configured to: receive a request for revision information corresponding to a first image from an external electronic device via the communication module; generate, on the basis of image recognition, first revision information by using a raw image corresponding to the first image; determine, on the basis of a comparison between the first image and the first revision information, whether a feature of the first revision information satisfies a predetermined condition or not; transmit, when the feature of the first revision information does not satisfy the predetermined condition, the first revision information to the external device to enable the external electronic device to generate a second image, that is, the revised first image by using the first revision information; generate, when the feature of the first revision information satisfies the predetermined condition, second revision information having a feature which is at least partially different from the first revision information, by using the first image and the first revision information; and transmit the second revision information to the external device to allow the external electronic device to generate a third image, that is, the revised first image by using the second revision information. Other embodiments are possible.

Abstract: An image signal processor includes a first sharpening filter configured to perform a first filtering operation on a raw data output from an external image device to output first sharpness data. A second sharpening filter is configured to perform a second filtering operation on the raw data in parallel with the first filtering operation to output second sharpness data. An edge determiner is configured to determine an edge strength of an image corresponding to the raw data based on the raw data and to adjust a first weight and a second weight based on the determined edge strength. A combiner configured to combine first weight data in which the adjusted first weight is reflected in the first sharpness data and second weight data in which the adjusted second weight is reflected in the second sharpness data to generate output data.
