Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for encoding/decoding stereo audio. In the method for encoding stereo audio, stereo audio is encoded based on at least one of the phase difference between first and second channel audios and information on an angle made by a vector on the intensity of mono-audio and a vector on the intensity of the first channel audio or a vector on the intensity of the second channel audio. Thus, the number of encoded parameters is minimized so that a compression ratio in the encoding of the stereo audio is improved.

A storage device which generates dump data for debugging at the occurrence of an error includes a memory device including a dump area for storing the dump data, and a storage controller that receives a dump request from a host through a first host interface, stores the dump data in the dump area in response to the dump request, and transmits the stored dump data to the host by using a second host interface after resetting the second host interface.

A computing device includes an inter-integrated circuit (I2C) module configured to perform I2C communication with an external device through a system management bus, a packet generator module configured to transmit a packet to the I2C module through the system management bus, and an I2C controller configured to control operations of the I2C module and the packet generator module. When the I2C module transmits a packet receiving signal to the I2C controller and the I2C controller does not receive the packet receiving signal for a set period of time, the I2C controller may reset the I2C module.

A storage device is provided which includes a nonvolatile memory and a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is configured to detect a temperature of the storage device. The temperature sensor is configured to output temperature information. The storage device includes a memory controller. The memory controller is configured to access the nonvolatile memory in response to a request of an external host device. The memory controller is configured to obtain the temperature information from the temperature sensor according to a first period in a first mode. The temperature sensor is configured to obtain the temperature information from the temperature sensor according to a second period in a second mode. The second period is shorter than the first period.

An apparatus and method are provided for detecting an input position using display pattern recognition. The apparatus includes an effective pattern area extractor for receiving an image of a display screen captured by a camera and extracting an effective pattern area for pattern recognition from the captured image of the display screen; a pattern recognizer for detecting subpixels included in the effective pattern area and identifying a plurality of holes included in each of the subpixels; and a display coordinate calculator for detecting an input position based on points at which the plurality of holes included in the each of the subpixels are formed.
