    Abstract: A window for a window cover of an electronic device, includes: a glass material; a lower surface; an upper surface opposite to the lower surface; a folding portion to be folded relative to a folding axis extending in a first direction; and a non-folding portion including a first non-folding portion, and a second non-folding portion spaced from the first non-folding portion with the folding portion interposed therebetween. The non-folding portion has a surface compressive stress less than a surface compressive stress of the folding portion.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a window member includes performing a first reinforcement operation including performing a first ion-exchange treatment on an initial window member. The first ion-exchange treatment includes applying ion salts at a temperature equal to or greater than a first temperature of about 500° C. A stress relief operation includes performing a heat treatment and/or a salt treatment on the initial window member to which the first reinforcement operation is performed. A second reinforcement operation includes performing a second ion-exchange treatment on the initial window member to which the stress relief operation is performed.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a non-bending area and a bending area, a bending protection layer disposed on the display panel and bent together with the bending area, a polarization unit disposed on the display panel, overlapping the non-bending area, where a step is defined on an upper surface of the polarization unit, a light shielding film adhered to one area of the bending protection layer and the step and covering a bent portion of the display panel in a plan view, where the light shielding film is a rigid board, and a coating window disposed directly on the polarization unit and the light shielding film and including a material cured by laser irradiation. The step has a shape corresponding to the light shielding film, and a side surface of the light shielding film is in contact with the step on a cross section.

    Abstract: Provided is a display device which includes a display panel, an anti-reflection layer disposed on the display panel, and a window disposed on the anti-reflection layer. The window includes a first portion including a first resin and disposed on the edge portion of the anti-reflection layer, and a second portion including a second resin and covering at least a portion of the first portion. The curing rate of the first resin is greater than the curing rate of the second resin. Thus, the display device may include the window having a small thickness and a smooth edge portion.
