摘要: A bundled capacitor with a plurality of individual capacitors is described herein. Each bundled capacitor provides an individual capacitance value. The bundled capacitor can include a housing, a cap connected to the housing, a central common terminal, a plurality of auxiliary terminals, an interrupter, an insulating spider, an insulated collective connection, a thermal fuse, a frangible electrical connection, an insulating layer, a resin disposed around the capacitors, and an expansion chamber formed between the resin and the interrupter, enabling the cap to deform when one of the capacitors overheats in the bundled capacitor.

摘要: A liquid fuel power plant (100) including an open-ended combustion chamber (102) and a first mechanism (112) for delivering a combustible fuel to the open-ended combustion chamber (102). A second mechanism (136) is included for igniting the fuel in the open-ended combustion chamber (102). A coiled tube-shaped mechanism (140) located within the combustion chamber (102) is provided for extending the length of the combustion chamber (102) to decompose the ignited fuel and to provide an exhaust gas comprised of fundamental elements. Finally, a third mechanism (160) is provided for using the exhaust gas to perform useful work. In a preferred embodiment, the liquid fuel power plant (100) includes separate fuel and air input lines (110, 120). The air input line (120) delivers compressed air which is preheated in an air passageway (130) and thereafter mixed with the combustible fuel in the open-ended combustion chamber (102). An igniter (136) causes combustion of a compressed air-fuel mixture in an ignition region (118) of the combustion chamber ( 102) . The residue of the combusted air-fuel mixture is thereafter forced by the compressed air into the coiled tube-shaped extension (140) which forms a reaction region (166) of the combustion chamber (102). The reaction region (166) becomes sufficiently hot to ensure complete decomposition of the combustible fuel. The hot pressurized exhaust gas, which is very low polluting, is directed by an exhaust tube (158) to a load such as a turbine (160).

The residue of the combustion is thereafter forced by the compressed air into a spiral-shaped extension (134) which forms a reaction region (138) of the combustion chamber (102). 摘要: A simplified energy producing system that utilizes natural animal waste and/or by-products and converts such waste into a usable clean energy source. The system incorporates a grinder/dehydration system, waste transport, a holding container, fuel air regulator, and a novel combustion heat regulator in combination. Thus, after the waste has been treated, combusted and incinerated, intense heat is produced that is usable via heat exchange for production of electrical energy and also a fine fly ash is produced usable for environmentally friendly purposes.

摘要: As taught herein, an incinerator system that directly eliminates the undesirable and harmful pollution of any gases vented or exhausted to open air. The system utilizes a fuel injector system that is used to dispense gaseous or atomized fuel of almost any type and inject the fuel into the combustion chamber. The fuel injector system disperses the gaseous or atomized fuel within the combustion chamber. Once the gaseous or atomized fuel is in the combustion chamber, it is then ignited. A controller senses the operational parameters of the incinerator system to control fresh air, ignition and fuel supply to start the system and maintain proper operating temperatures within the incinerator system so as to optimize the combustion efficiency and energy economy of the pollution abatement incinerator system.

摘要: A low noise power plant (100) for providing thrust to a missile (102) having a solid fuel propellant (104) for generating a pressurized gas. A turbine (106) converts the pressurized gas to rotary motion and a drive shaft (108) transfers the rotary motion to a load (110). In a preferred embodiment, the power plant (100) is utilized to drive a projectile (102). A solid fuel stick (104) located within a combustion chamber (112) is ignited and burned to provide pressurized gas which is directed to the turbine (106) via an exhaust tube (114). The pressurized gas is at a relatively low pressure and volume which minimizes the generation of noise. The turbine (106) and the drive shaft (108) are each rotated by the pressurized gas. The gases expelled from the turbine (106) are near atmospheric pressure which further minimizes the generation of noise. The power of the rotating drive shaft (108) can be converted to useful power by a speed reduction gearbox (140). An output drive shaft (142) is employed to rotate a load such as a fan type propeller (110). The rotating fan type propeller (110) compresses air for generating the thrust of the power plant (100). The compressed air is a mixture of turbine exhaust gases and ambient air which reduces the heat content and thus, the detectability of the projectile (102) by infrared devices.

摘要: An optical missile sight that provides a gunner with the ability to view along a missile line of sight in order to sight a potential target prior to missile launch. The sight comprises an imaging telescope, an optical coupling arrangement that comprises (1) a flexible fiber optic bundle disposed in obedient sheathing, or (2) a reflective optics arrangement and a fiber optic bundle, and an objective lens employed for viewing. In the case of the flexible fiber optic bundle, the telescope is disposed along the centerline of the missile, and the optical components of the optical coupling arrangement are disposed in a flexible housing that extends from inside the missile to the outside of the launch tube. In one embodiment the fiber optic bundle is sheared during launch, while in another embodiment, the fiber bundle is separated at the missile/launch tube interface prior to launch. In the case of the reflective optics arrangement, the optical components of the telescope are disposed inside the missile and the optical coupling arrangement components are disposed both inside and outside of the missile, and a fiber optics bundle is employed to transmit the image scene to the gunner outside the launch tube.

摘要: A method for generating a multiplicity of capacitance values is described herein. The method can include lining a housing with an insulating layer to form a lined housing. Wires can be connected to terminals of capacitors to form a collective connection. The collective connection can be connected to a fuse to form a wired bundle, which can be disposed within the housing. A resin can be poured into the housing to form an expansion chamber. A common terminal and auxiliary terminals can be disposed within a cap, which can have an insulating spider. An interrupter can also be secured to the cap. The method can include connecting each positive wire to one of the auxiliary terminals and connecting the fuse to the common terminal. A lip of the cap can be deformed around the housing for securing the cap to the housing, forming a bundled capacitor.

摘要: The pollution abatement incinerator system removes pollutants effectively, efficiently and economically from a flow of exhaust gases. The system will virtually eliminate compounds such as oxides of nitrogen, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, odors and organic and inorganic particulates from the exhaust gases of internal combustion engines or other sources of combustion. The resonant incinerator directly eliminates the undesirable and harmful pollution of the exhaust. A recuperator, preferably with two stages is incorporated into the system for efficiently capturing and reusing heat from the incinerator to simultaneously heat fresh air being forced through the recuperator and into the incinerator. A fuel converter is used to vaporize fuel of almost any type and inject the vaporized fuel into a ring injector within the incinerator. The ring injector disperses the vaporized fuel within incinerator. The vaporized fuel in the incinerator chamber is then ignited. A controller senses the operational parameters of the incinerator to control fresh air, ignition and fuel supply to start the system and maintain proper operating temperatures within the incinerator so as to optimize the combustion efficiency and energy economy of the pollution abatement incinerator system.
