    摘要: A vehicle brake system includes a source of fluid pressure adapted to supply a braking force to at least one brake actuator and a modular valve unit fluidly coupling the brake actuator to the source of fluid pressure. The modular valve unit includes a plurality of valve modules. Each of the plurality of valve modules includes a housing in which working elements of the valve module are contained and at least one port in the housing adapted to be an input port or an output port, the at least one port being adapted to cooperate with and be directly fluidly connected to at least one port of another of the plurality of valve modules, thereby obviating the need for tubing or piping. Each of the plurality of valve modules is self-contained and defines a stand-alone unit capable of operating independently of any other of the plurality of valve modules.

    摘要: A vehicle brake system includes a source of fluid pressure adapted to supply a braking force a brake actuator including a parking brake chamber, and a combination valve fluidly coupling the brake actuator to the source of pressure, the combination valve having an inlet fluidly coupled to the source of pressure and an outlet fluidly coupled to the brake actuator. The combination valve includes within a single housing (i) a solenoid responsive to electrical signals to move from one position in which the parking brake chamber is fluidly coupled to the source of pressure in order to pressurize the parking brake chamber and release the parking brake, and another position in which the parking brake chamber of the brake actuator is vented in order to exhaust pressure within the parking brake chamber so that the parking brake is applied, and (ii) at least one of a manifold, an inversion valve, a double check valve and an anti-compounding valve.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a blade of an ice skate includes the steps of providing a T-shaped stock piece of material having a plate and a leg extending from a center of the plate; machining the plate to form at least one mounting platform for connecting the blade to a skate shoe; machining the leg to form a skate body section that extends from the platform and includes a blade runner holder portion having a diamond cross-sectional shape with a downwardly directed slot. A separate blade runner is fixed to the blade runner holder portion within the slot and positioned for contacting the ice when in use. The blade runner is formed by providing a blade runner-shaped workpiece having a substantially constant thickness; using a vein cutting tool, and machining both lateral sides of an upper edge region of the blade runner-shaped workpiece simultaneously to form a thinner base region. The base region is sized to fit and be secured within the slot.

    摘要: A high lift dump truck having a chassis on a truck, and a body portion having a tailgate being positioned on the chassis and being supported in a lowered position. A front hoist having a first end pivotably mounted at a generally central location on the chassis. The front hoist has a second end pivotably mounted on the body and the front hoist is positioned to raise the body to a maximum front elevation above the chassis. A rear hoist has a first end pivotably mounted at a generally rear location on the chassis and a rear hoist has a second end pivotably mounted on the body generally near the tailgate end of the body. The rear hoist is positioned to raise the body to a maximum rear elevation above the chassis. A control link has a first end pivotably mounted on the chassis adjacent the rear location and has a second end mounted on the body at a generally central location, whereby the link defines a locus of movement of the second end when the body is raised. A control is provided for activating the front and rear hoist independently to permit the body to be raised to the maximum front and rear elevations.

Each frame is affixed to the base and has bilateral, spaced apart, opposing side walls that define a wheel well. Adjacent side walls of the frames are interconnected to form unitary opposing structures. The side walls of one of the frames is angularly related to the side walls of at least one of the other frames. Each axle is carried in a wheel well by the side walls of one of the frames. Each wheel is disposed within one of the wheel wells and mounted for rotation on the axle in the wheel well. The wheel wells are either equally or unequally spaced. The roller skate may further include an article of footwear, such as a shoe or a boot, to which the base is either affixed or integral. Additionally, at least one brace may interconnect the opposing walls of at least one frame.

    摘要: A molded plastic lid adapted to generally close off the upper open end of a container and adapted to enable separation of entrained particles from a stream of air for collection of the particles in the container. The lid is formed with circumferentially extending inlet and outlet chambers opening downwardly into the container and having inlet and outlet openings, respectively, for receiving and discharging the air stream. The inlet chamber is formed with an upper surface which slopes downwardly upon progressing from the inlet opening to cause the air entering the container to flow in a curved and downwardly inclined direction so as to establish a cyclonic action in the container for separation of the particles. The outlet chamber is formed with an upper surface which slopes upwardly upon progressing toward the outlet opening to cause the air exiting the container to flow in the same generally curved direction but at an upwardly inclined angle.
