摘要: A printer includes: a first conveyor configured to convey a recording medium during image formation by an image former at a first conveyance speed based on a print condition of the image formation by the image former; a second conveyor configured to convey the recording medium at a second conveyance speed higher than the first conveyance speed; and a third conveyor arranged between the first conveyor and the second conveyor on a conveyance route. The third conveyor is configured to start acceleration of the recording medium after a recording region trailing end of the recording medium passes the image former and accelerate the recording medium such that a speed of the recording medium increases to the second conveyance speed not later than a time point when a leading edge of the recording medium reaches the second conveyor.

摘要: Upon occurrence of a paper jam on a main conveying route, a controller performs control of stopping paper conveyance at a section of the main conveying route upstream of a position of the paper jam in a conveying direction and discharging sheets at a section of the main conveying route downstream of the position of the paper jam in the conveying direction, and performs control of stopping paper conveyance at a circulation conveying route. Upon occurrence of a paper jam on the circulation conveying route, a controller performs control of stopping paper conveyance at a section of the circulation conveying route upstream of a position of the paper jam, and performs control of discharging sheets at a section of the circulation conveying route downstream of the position of the paper jam and at the main conveying route.

摘要: A controller temporarily opens a pair of side fence plates under a prescribed condition to move the side fence plates away from both side ends of sheets in a sheet width direction, after each time stacking of sheets at a first or second sheet stacking position is completed, but before a sheet receiving tray is temporarily lifted down to offset an offset guide plate and an end fence plate. Else, the controller sets an amount of lifting up and down of the sheet receiving tray such that the amount at the second sheet stacking position is smaller than that at the first sheet stacking position when offsetting the offset guide plate and the end fence plate after each time the stacking of sheets at the first or second sheet stacking position on the sheet receiving tray is completed.

Upon occurrence of the paper jam with the switching direction being set at a circulation guiding direction, the controller performs control of switching the switching direction to the paper discharge guiding direction after a sheet passing a switch exits the switch, and discharging the sheets at the section of the circulation conveyer downstream of the position of the paper jam, the printing conveyer, and the paper discharger.

The paper feeding conveying operation is for receiving an unprinted sheet at a paper feeding conveying speed and conveying the unprinted sheet to a printing unit. The paper refeeding conveying operation is for receiving a sheet with a front side printed at the determined reverse conveying speed and conveying the sheet with the front side printed to the printing unit.

摘要: A printer includes a pair of registration rollers for feeding a print sheet to a print unit, a first sheet supply unit including a first feed roller that operates, by rotating in synchronization with the pair of registration rollers, an assistant operation to assist sheet-feeding by the pair of registration rollers, a second sheet supply unit including a second feed roller, a drive unit that selectively drives the first and second feed rollers, and a controller that controls the drive unit. When changing over a sheet supply source from the first sheet supply unit to the second sheet supply unit in the assistant operation, the controller finishes the assistant operation before a trailing edge of a print sheet currently fed has passed through the first feed roller by stopping the drive unit. According to the printer, reduction of print productivity can be restricted while reducing noises and feed failures.

摘要: Upon a misfeeding of any of second and subsequent sheets in paper feeding by a paper feeding unit during duplex printing, a controller drives the paper feeding unit to perform a paper feeding retry at one or more of paper feeding timings in a paper feeding schedule for duplex printing. The paper feeding schedule for duplex printing specifies the paper feeding timings by the paper feeding unit and paper refeeding timings by a paper refeeding unit for a case other than the misfeeding of any of the second and subsequent sheets in the paper feeding by the paper feeding unit such that the sheet refed from the paper refeeding unit and the sheet fed from the paper feeding unit are alternately conveyed to a printing unit.
