    摘要: A controller, upon remaining sheets existing in both a print conveyer and a lower conveyer and a sheet size of the sheets being equal to or larger than a specified size upon occurrence of a sheet jam: control an elevator to maintain the print conveyer at a print position, determine to position the print conveyer at a lower limit position in response to removal of the remaining sheet from the lower conveyer, and then drive the elevator to move the print conveyer to the lower limit position; or drive the elevator to move the print conveyer to the lower limit position, determine to position the print conveyer at the print position in response to removal of the remaining sheet from the lower conveyer, and then drive the elevator to move the print conveyer to the print position.

    摘要: A conversion area in a storage of a printer is determined to accommodate slips of different sizes. Slips are conveyed along a path that is guided on one side and open on the other. A detector detects the length of the slip in the conveyance direction. Dimensions of the conversion area are determined based on the detected length of the slip, and a recording range of a recording head is also determined. Font data is read from memory based on font code that is received from a control device and written in the conversion area per line unit in the order in which the font code is received and in a direction corresponding to toward the open side of the conveyance path and away from the guided side of the conveyance path. The recording head is controlled to record the font data in the conversion area on the slip.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus for performing image formation on a fed sheet includes a feeding unit, a detecting unit, a conveying control unit, and a first, second, and third determining unit. The feeding unit feeds a sheet of an irregular size onto a conveyance path. The detecting unit detects timings at which a leading edge and trailing edge of the fed sheet pass through a conveyance path predetermined position. The first determining unit determines a length of the sheet in a width direction. The conveying control unit discharges the sheet to a discharge destination without performing image formation on the sheet. The second determining unit determines a length of the sheet in the conveyance direction. The third determining unit determines a sheet size of the sheet of the irregular size from the length of the sheet in the width direction and the length of the sheet in the conveyance direction.
