Abstract:
There is obtained a vehicular air-conditioning device that can restrain the space of a cabin from decreasing. The vehicular air-conditioning device is equipped with a fan that produces an air current, a main current blowout port from which the air current produced through the operation of this fan is blown out toward a cabin, and a wind direction adjustment current blowout port from which the air current produced through the operation of the fan is blown out toward the cabin and which is arranged such that the air current thus blown out intersects with the air current blown out from the main current blowout port.
Abstract:
Provided is a display device (1), including: two pixels in a region (A) surrounded by two video signal lines (DL) and two scanning signal lines (GL); a first dummy wiring, which is connected to one video signal line of the two video signal lines; and a second dummy wiring, which is connected to a different one of the two video signal lines (DL) from the one video signal line to which the first dummy wiring is connected, in which the first dummy wiring and the second dummy wiring each extend along a contour of the region (A) to a position between the two pixels, and further extend so that respective end portions are opposed to each other between the two pixels.
Abstract:
A first storage system stores information relating to the updating of data stored in that system as a journal. More specifically, the journal is composed of a copy of data that was used for updating and update information such as a write command used during updating. Furthermore, the second storage system acquires the journal via a communication line between the first storage system and the second storage system. The second storage system holds a duplicate of the data held by the first storage system and updates the data corresponding to the data of the first storage system in the data update order of the first storage system by using the journal.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a hydrogel contact lens which has improved and long-lasting wettability in the surface and inner structures, while exhibiting excellent contamination resistance, shape stability and mechanical strength. Also disclosed is a method for producing the hydrogel contact lens. The wettable hydrogel contact lens is characterized by containing an ionic hydrophilic polymer which is a compound having a hydroxy group and an anionic group. The method for producing a hydrogel contact lens is characterized in that a constituent component of the hydrogel contact lens is a copolymer containing at least a cationic monomer and an anionic monomer, and in that the method comprises a step wherein counter ions of the monomers form ionic bonds and a step wherein an ionic hydrophilic polymer, which is a compound having a hydroxy group and an anionic group, is contained.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a sustainedly drug-releasing hydrogel contact lens which can sustainedly release an anionic medicament such as an allergy-treating agent in a mildly irritating and effective manner while achieving vision correction. Specifically disclosed is a hydrogel comprising ionic monomers composed of at least a cationic monomer and an anionic monomer, wherein the component ratio of the ionic monomers is 5 to 20 mol % inclusive relative to the total amount of monomers that constitute the gel, and the content of the anionic monomer is 15 to 25 mol % inclusive relative to the content of the cationic monomer.
Abstract:
In a configuration in which it is necessary to transfer data from a first storage system to a third storage system through a storage system between the storage systems, there is a problem that it is inevitable to give an excess logical volume to a second storage system between the storage systems. A remote copy system includes first storage system that sends and receives data to and from an information processing apparatus, a second storage system, and a third storage system. The second storage system virtually has a second storage area in which the data should be written and has a third storage area in which the data written in the second storage area and update information concerning the data are written. Data sent from the first storage system is not written in the second storage area but is written in the third storage area as data and update information. The data and the update information written in the third storage area are read out from the third storage system.
Abstract:
One code (a compressed redundant code) is created based on a plurality of first redundant codes, each created on the basis of a plurality of data units, and this compressed redundant code is written to a nonvolatile storage area. This compressed redundant code is used to restore either a data element constituting a multiple-failure data, or a first redundant code corresponding to the multiple-failure data, which is stored in an unreadable sub-storage area of a partially failed storage device, and to restore the data element constituting the multiple-failure data which is stored in a sub-storage area of a completely failed storage device, based on the restored either data element or first redundant code, and either another data element constituting the multiple-failure data or the first redundant code corresponding to the multiple-failure data.
Abstract:
A plurality of storage devices, provided in a storage system, comprise not less than two member storage devices, which are storage devices provided as members of a RAID group, and a spare storage device, which is not a member of the RAID group. A controller, provided in the storage system, uses the spare storage device to carry out the changing of the RAID level of the RAID group from a first RAID level to a second RAID level.
