    Abstract: A roadside radio device includes a first radio unit which receives a radio data packet from an in-vehicle radio device, and a first application unit which processes application data. The first radio unit includes a radio data processing unit including a correlation processing unit which compares a data string of vehicle identification information with a data string of communication type information to determine whether there is a correlation in the radio data packet. When the correlation processing unit determines that there is the correlation in the radio data packet, the first radio unit outputs the application data included in the radio data packet to the first application unit. When the correlation processing unit determines that there is no correlation in the radio data packet, the first radio unit treats the radio data packet as invalid data.

    Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a transmission control unit which performs transmission processing, an area determination unit which determines whether an own vehicle is located in an intersection area, and an operation mode determination unit which determines either a control mode or a terminal mode as an operation mode of a radio terminal device based on an identification information for identifying a source of a received communication frame, and a determination result by the area determination unit. When the operation mode is determined to be the control mode, the transmission control unit outputs, as transmission data, a communication frame including generated control information. When the operation mode is determined to be the terminal mode, the transmission control unit outputs transmission data in synchronization with the received communication frame.

    Abstract: A roadside radio device includes a first radio unit which receives a radio data packet from an in-vehicle radio device, and a first application unit which receives application data included in the radio data packet. A first application unit includes a vehicle class information comparison unit which compares vehicle identification information with communication type information. When the vehicle class information comparison unit determines that the vehicle identification information and the communication type information match, the first application unit processes the application data received from the first radio unit. When the vehicle class information comparison unit determines that the vehicle identification information and the communication type information do not match, the first application unit treats, as invalid data, the application data received from the first radio unit.
