摘要： A telecommunications equipment enclosure (10) that dissipates into the ambient environment heat internally generated by signal repeater cards and other electronic equipment stored therein, thereby prolonging equipment life and preventing premature failure due to damaging levels of retained heat. Equipment-receiving sleeves (20) are removably arranged concentrically about the interior of a cylindrical housing (12). The housing (12) is fitted with a lid (14) having a cylindrically protruding portion (48). Cooling fins (16) operable to conduct and dissipate heat are attached to the exterior of the housing (12). Each sleeve (20) is able to conduct heat away from the heat-generating equipment received therein, and to transfer the heat along two distinct thermally conductive pathways. Surge protection (60) is provided on a removable circuit board (62) located adjacent each sleeve (20) and replaceable without removing the sleeve (20) or otherwise disrupting functioning of the cards or other electronic equipment.

摘要： A modular electronic equipment enclosure (10) for housing telecommunications, signaling, or other electronic equipment. The enclosure (10) separates into modules for easier module-by-module installation. The preferred enclosure (10) broadly comprises three separable modules, including a housing module (12); a mounting structure (14); and a cable interface module (16). The housing module (12) receives, retains, and protectively encloses the electronic equipment. The mounting structure (14) is operable to secure to a mounting surface and to provide the housing module (12) with an operating orientation which is either perpendicular or parallel to the mounting surface. The interface block (16) is coupled with the housing module (12) in any of two or more possible orientations. The interface block (16) including a first wire connector half (94) operable to couple with a corresponding second wire connector half (38) connected to the electronic equipment.

摘要： A telecommunications equipment mounting assembly is provided including a plate (12) presenting a plurality of separate, spaced apart mounting zones (24), together with generally U-shaped brackets (14) respectively secured to the plate (12) adjacent corresponding zones (24). A telecommunications equipment enclosure (16) is secured to each pair of bracket legs whereby the enclosures (16) are spaced from the plate (12). Preferably, the brackets are oriented at an oblique angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the plate (12) to facilitate cabling and interconnection of the electrical equipment within the enclosures (16). In alternate forms, a standoff leg assembly (56) is employed to secure the mounting plates (12) and associated hardware to an upright wall (62). This creates a cableway (80) between the plates (12) and the wall (62).

The pivot bracket (22) allows for tilting an outer housing (12) up to 30° relative to a mounting surface. The separate and distinct transmit and receive terminals (26,28) maintain minimum cross-talk and interference levels.
