Abstract:
The present methods and apparatus enable transmission of an interlaced reference signal for two UEs using a comb structure. In some aspects, the present methods and apparatus may allocate resources and indicate whether a first UE and a second UE are to transmit DM-RS with a comb structure in a single slot based on the allocation. Further, in some aspects, the present methods and apparatus may allocate resources and transmit information indicating whether a first UE is to transmit DM-RS in a first slot or in both a first slot and a second slot within a subframe.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for delivering content to end user via shared broadcast are provided. The apparatus may be a UE that determines to acquire a MBMS service. The UE tunes to a frequency provided by a first MNO to which the UE is not a subscriber in order to receive the MBMS service via a carrier shared by the first MNO and at least one other MNO. The UE receives the MBMS service on the frequency via the carrier shared by the first MNO and the at least one other MNO. The shared carrier may have a common SFN timing with respect to the first MNO and the at least one other MNO. The shared carrier may include a shared MBMS SDL carrier. The shared carrier may include a standalone shared carrier for receiving the MBMS service and control information associated with the MBMS service.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to a conditional utilization of reference signals for managing communications of one or more user equipment (UE) in a wireless communications system. The described aspects include receiving a transmission having a first subframe slot and a second subframe slot, at least one of the first subframe slot and the second subframe slot have a single-slot transmission time interval (TTI). The described aspects further include detecting a first demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) in the first subframe slot and a second DM-RS in the second subframe slot. The described aspects further include determining whether to demodulate the at least one downlink channel in the first subframe slot using the first DM-RS in the first subframe slot or to demodulate both the first DM-RS in the first subframe slot and the second DM-RS in the second subframe slot based on whether at least one condition exists.

Abstract:
A data structure for managing user equipment communications in a wireless communication system is presented. In some examples, the data structure may include one or more resource element blocks into which a frequency bandwidth of a downlink channel is divided within a symbol that defines a transmission time interval in a downlink subframe. Furthermore, the data structure may include a control region and a data region within at least one resource element block of the one or more resource element blocks. Additionally, the data structure may include a downlink resource grant, located within the control region, for a user equipment served by the downlink channel. In an additional aspect, a network entity and method for generating the example data structure are provided.
Abstract:
Standalone MBSFN cells may provide an improved user experience for an individual with a non-legacy UE since the bandwidth of that cell is mostly allocated to broadcasting streaming services. However, an individual with a legacy UE may be able to detect cell acquisition information associated with a standalone MBSFN cell but not to acquire standalone MBSFN cells. In order to solve this problem, the present disclosure provides various UE avoidance schemes that enable non-legacy UEs to acquire a standalone MBSFN cell and prevents legacy UEs from trying to acquire a standalone MBSFN only cell. The apparatus may receive cell acquisition information associated with an eMBMS standalone cell. The apparatus may detect a UE avoidance scheme based on a characteristic associated with the cell acquisition information. The apparatus may perform cell acquisition with the eMBMS standalone cell based on the characteristic.
Abstract:
The present disclosure may enable a buffer to accommodate HARQ processes for transmissions with different TTIs when the UE is configured for legacy communications and ULL communications. The apparatus may allocate a first number of HARQ IDs to a first portion of a buffer, the first number of HARQ IDs being associated with a first transmission TTI HARQ process. In addition, the apparatus may allocate a second number of HARQ IDs to a second portion of the buffer. In an aspect, the second number of HARQ IDs may be associated with a second TTI HARQ process. In addition, the first portion and second portion may not change a total buffer size. The apparatus may also receive a HARQ response associated with a HARQ ID allocated to the first portion or the second portion.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a unique control region that is mapped to each data region for DL DMRS transmissions. In addition, the present disclosure provides an updated DCI format that may include DL DMRS transmissions. The apparatus may receive a first content during a first TTI. In an aspect, the content may include at least a control region which includes a DMRS. In addition, a location of the DMRS may be defined by either a closed-loop precoding structure or an open-loop precoding structure. Furthermore, the duration of the first TTI may be shorter than 1 ms. The apparatus may demodulate the control region based at least on the DMRS.

Abstract:
Apparatus and methods, in one or more aspect, provide feedback with respect to downlink grant feedback communications received by a user equipment (UE). The apparatus and methods monitor for signals from a network entity on one or more channels, and determine, based on the monitoring, whether one or more grants are received and whether UE data is received on the one or more channels. Further, the apparatus and methods generate a feedback indication having a feedback value determined according to a feedback rule and based on whether the one or more grants and the UE data are received. Additionally, the apparatus and methods transmit the feedback indication to the network entity on a resource determined according to the feedback rule and based on whether the one or more grants and the UE data are received.
