    Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for synchronization of sensing operations performed by a plurality of devices. The method may include collecting sensing capabilities of one or more connected devices that are communicably coupled with a central device. Each connected device may include one or more sensors, and the sensing capabilities may include at least sensor type and sensing interval for each sensor. The method may also include coordinating sensing operations performed by the central device and the one or more connected devices.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for determining a UE position within a coverage sub-area of a cell based on cell identity data are presented. In some embodiments, the UE detects one more cell identities, including a cell identity of a serving cell and possibly a cell identity of a neighbor cell of the serving cell. The one or more cell identities are included in cell identity data. The cell identity data is used in a look up of a data structure that associates coverage sub-areas of a coverage area of the serving cell with most likely positions within the coverage sub-areas and with cell identities. The result of the look up indicates that the UE is positioned at a most likely position within a coverage sub-area of the serving cell.

    Abstract: Disclosed are a system, apparatus, and method for refined RF signal processing of a received low bandwidth signal. A first time domain RF signal is received and converted from a time based domain to a frequency based domain. A second time domain RF signal is received at a time after the first time domain RF signal and converted from a time based domain to a frequency based domain. At least the converted first RF signal and the converted second RF signal are combined, where one or both of: the converted first RF signal, or the converted second RF signal are rotated in the frequency domain for the combining. A refined time domain peak is determined from the combined RF signal.

    Abstract: Method, device, computer program product, and apparatus to enable mobile device position optimization and reporting are described. Signals provided by a plurality of base transceiver stations (BTS) are received to determine a BTS-based position of the mobile device. A reference position of the mobile device is determined. A range measurement with respect to a target BTS is determined. In one aspect, one or more unreliable BTSs may be detected and reported based on a positioning measurement quality, a range measurement quality, or combinations thereof. In one aspect, the positioning measurement quality is determined based on a difference between the reference position of the mobile device and the BTS-based position of the mobile device. In one aspect, the range measurement quality is determined based on a difference between a measured range/distance and a reference/expected range/distance.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for crowdsourcing the synchronization status of a network are presented. In various embodiments, a server receives a synchronization status of a base station associated with the network. If the synchronization status indicates that the network is synchronous, the server collects information for computing time correction data. The server may send the time correction data to the mobile device for use in determining the position of the mobile device when the mobile device is connected to the synchronous network.

    Abstract: A wearable device that can receive a plurality of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) timing signals using an antenna, where the antenna is located in an exterior portion of the wearable device such that the antenna receives GNSS signals at the external portion of the wearable device, without the GNSS signals first passing through an air gap within a housing of the wearable device. The wearable device is configured to determine a geographic location of the wearable device based at least in part on the GNSS signals. The wearable device is configurable to perform underwater dead-reckoning procedures, measuring energy levels during dwell periods, measuring efficiency of swim strokes, sharing wearable device information with other electronic devices, calibrating the wearable device, or a combination thereof.
