Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for adjustment of a frequency offset based on switching between uplink/downlink (UL/DL) transmission/reception beam pairs between a UE and a base station. A connection may be established via a first UL/DL transmission/reception beam pair and a frequency tracking loop may be established and maintained to correct for frequency error (e.g., due to Doppler shift) of received transmissions at a receiving device. In cases where a beam switch is performed, and the UE and base station switch from the first UL/DL transmission/reception beam pair to a second UL/DL transmission/reception beam pair, and a frequency offset difference between the first and second UL/DL transmission/reception beam pairs may be applied to the frequency tracking loop. The frequency offset difference may be obtained from a table of frequency offset measurements of multiple UL/DL beam pairs using associated reference signal transmissions.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to calibrating transceiver impairment in wireless communications. Direct current (DC) components of one or more signals can be modified, using one or more configured DC components, for transmitting to a user equipment (UE) via a transmitter. A receiver can receive the one or more signals as transmitted via the transmitter. An impairment of at least one of the transmitter, the receiver, or a combination thereof, can be determined based at least in part on comparing the DC components of the one or more signals as received via the receiver to the one or more configured DC components. One or more components of at least one of the transmitter, the receiver, or a combination thereof can be adjusted to compensate for the impairment.

Abstract: Various aspects described herein relate to adjusting transmit power of a radio frequency (RF) transceiver. A total power adjustment for adjusting a transmit power of the RF transceiver can be determined. The transmit power can be adjusted to a first adjusted transmit power based at least in part on a first adjustment size that is less than the total power adjustment and determined based at least in part on the transmit power. Digital pre-distortion (DPD) training of the RF transceiver can be performed to adjust one or more coefficients for calibrating the RF transceiver based on the first adjusted transmit power. The first adjusted transmit power can be adjusted to a second adjusted transmit power based at least in part on a second adjustment size that is less than the total power adjustment and computed based at least in part on the first adjusted transmit power.
