    摘要: Implementations relate to systems and methods for generating a user profile based on periodic location fixes. A cellular telephone or other mobile device captures location information via GPS or other capability. A location history can be generated from accumulated location fixes. The location history is then analyzed to detect the user's travel and dwell patterns. That information can be combined with business classification (e.g., SIC, etc.) or Point of Interest (POI) databases to identify a user's likely home, work, or other locations based on dwell-times, time of day, and other parameters. The user's age and gender can potentially be inferred based on types of locations visited, such as school locations. The user profile can be correlated with market segmentation databases to generate a marketing rating, such as a Nielsen or Claritas rating. Advertising, media, or other content can then be tailored to the user's individual location and demographic profiles.

    摘要: A computer-implemented method of auto-scaling an indoor map includes receiving an unsealed electronic map that shows a floor plan of a building and creating control points on the unsealed electronic map. Each of control points includes an absolute coordinate pair and a corresponding local coordinate pair. The method also includes calculating a primary scaling factor based on the control points. The electronic map is then auto-scaled using the primary scaling factor to generate a scaled electronic map that shows the floor plan of the building.

To estimate its location, in a particular implementation, a mobile device may obtain a measurement of a range to a transponder device positioned at a known location based on measurements of a signal round-trip time (RTT) in a message exchange with the transponder device. Positioning assistance data from a server may enable the mobile device to measure a delay at the transponder device in providing a response to a probe message to thereby more accurately measure the signal RTT.

    摘要: Implementations relate to systems and methods for aggregating and presenting data related to geographic locations. Geotag data related to geographic locations and associated features or attributes can be collected to build a regional profile characterizing a set of locations within the region. Geotag data related to the constituent locations, such as user ratings or popularity ranks for restaurants, shops, parks, or other features, sites, or attractions, can be combined to generate a profile of characteristics of locations in the region. The platform can generate recommendations of locations to transmit to the user of a mobile device, based for instance on the location of the device in the region as reported by GPS or other location service and the regional profile. Geotag data can include audio data analyzed using region-specific terms, and user recommendations can be presented via dynamic menus based on regional profiles, user preferences or other criteria.

In an implementation, a reference signal may be focused into a directed beam, for example using a phased antenna array, and rotated electronically through a sequence of directional angles in a horizontal plane. A mobile device may determine a most probable directional angle from one or more transmitters transmitting a directional beam, measure one or more parameters for each directional angle and determine a location estimate using, for example triangulation.

An unstructured map can be received to determine groups of components within the unstructured map having a same property. A visual representation of the groups may be presented or displayed within a graphical user interface (GUI), such that each group is a selectable object for manipulation within the GUI. The GUI can receive selections or requests to update one or more properties of the group.
