Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, during an active call on a first radio access technology (RAT), that a first condition for performing a handover from the first RAT to a second RAT is satisfied. The UE may determine that the second RAT would trigger a fallback to a third RAT after the handover from the first RAT to the second RAT and that a second condition for performing a handover from the third RAT to the first RAT is satisfied. The UE may refrain from performing the handover from the first RAT to the second RAT based at least in part on the determination that the second RAT would trigger the fallback and the determination that the second condition is satisfied. In one instance, the UE starts a reselection timer for reselecting to a neighbor cell when a signal quality of a serving cell is determined to fall below a first threshold. The UE then expedites reselecting to the neighbor cell based on a difference between the signal quality of the serving cell and the signal quality of the neighbor cell when the signal quality of the serving cell falls below a second threshold.

Abstract: Various embodiments include methods and user equipment (UE) for mobile-terminated call handling when a latency-sensitive service (LSS) is active on the UE. Embodiments may include determining a radio access technology (RAT) used for a latency-sensitive service (LSS) currently active on the UE in response to receiving an MT call invitation and determining whether a latency-prone service command is received that includes service commands configured to change the determined RAT used for the LSS to another RAT likely to compromise the LSS. In response to determining that a latency-prone service command is received the MT call invitation may be rejected, but in response to determining that a latency-prone service command is not received, MT call alerting may be allowed.

Abstract: A configuration is disclosed to enable a UE to preempt SRVCC by triggering a handover to a Wi-Fi network. The apparatus determines whether a Wi-Fi cell is viable as a first target cell, from a plurality of target cells, serving the UE to continue the active transmission on the Wi-Fi cell. The apparatus extends a TTT timer length based at least in part on the determination that the Wi-Fi cell is viable as the target cell serving the UE to continue the active transmission on the Wi-Fi cell. The apparatus initiates a handover to the Wi-Fi cell from the first network prior to the expiration of a TTT timer and prior to the first network initiating a handover to a second target cell, from the plurality of target cells, on a second network.
