Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may apply a precoding operation to a downlink physical channel. The network node may obtain a plurality of coefficients associated with a non-linearity of the downlink physical channel in accordance with estimating a cross-correlation of a plurality of power delay profiles associated with the precoding operation. The network node may precode a physical downlink shared channel communication in accordance with a result of the precoding operation. The network node may transmit the plurality of coefficients via a physical downlink control channel communication. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques may provide for an adaptive digital post-distortion (DPoD) procedure and reporting of modulation and coding scheme (MCS) indices for communications between a user equipment (UE) and a network entity. The UE may select a kernel from a set of kernels indicated by the network entity for a DPoD procedure based on a target error vector magnitude (EVM). Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine a limitation for an MCS index for the network entity to use in communications with the UE based on a power limitation of the UE and an EVM associated with the MCS. The network entity and the UE may accordingly communicate using the MCS limitation requested by the UE and the determined DPoD kernel.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support demodulation reference signal sharing across user equipments (UEs) supporting over the air (OTA) digital pre-distortion (DPD). For example, the described techniques provide for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sharing across UEs supporting OTA DPD. A network entity may share a full DMRS pattern with multiple frequency-division multiplexed (FDMed) UEs. Based on the shared DMRS pattern, the UEs may evaluate the non-linear impairment by estimating non-linearity (NL) compensation function coefficients. Each of the UEs may indicate, to the network entity, their estimated NL compensation function coefficients. The network entity may apply an updated NL compensation function based on the NL compensation function coefficients from the various UEs and transmit a downlink transmission according to the updated NL compensation function.

A user equipment (UE) may receive pilot signaling associated with inphase and quadrature (IQ) mismatch estimation for a set of antennas of a base station. The UE may measure pilot signals for each of the set of antennas based on a pilot signal pattern of the pilot signaling, and calculate an estimation of an IQ mismatch for each antenna of the set of antennas of the base station based on measuring the pilot signals. The base station may receive, from the UE, a report including an indication of the estimation of the IQ mismatch for each antenna of the set of antennas of the base station based on the pilot signals.

Abstract: Techniques for wireless communications are described. A demodulation reference signal generated using user information and a noncoherent modulation technique may be communicated between wireless devices. A data sequence may be extracted from the demodulation reference signal based on demodulating the demodulation reference signal using the noncoherent modulation technique and decoding the demodulation reference signal. The data sequence may be used to reconstruct a version of the demodulation reference signal used to descramble a received version of the demodulation reference signal. The descrambled demodulation reference signal may be used to estimate a data channel between a transmitting device and a receiving device.

The UE may transmit an indication of the PA NL coefficients to the network node, which may use the indication to select precoding configured to improve reception of communications transmitted with PA NL or to improve decoding of communications transmitted using the precoding.
