Abstract: In a wireless communication system, a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) may affect the efficiency of a power amplifier. To reduce a PAPR, a transmitting device may utilize a PAPR reduction precoding that changes a received signal without performance impact so the overall transmit PAPR is reduced. The transmitting device constructs a frequency domain (FD) response to the PAPR reduction precoding, estimates a channel to one or more receiving devices, and applies the PAPR reduction precoding to the estimated channel. The transmitting device constructs a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) precoding matrix considering the FD response of the PAPR reduction precoding and applies the MIMO precoding matrix and the PAPR reduction precoding to an FD signal. A receiving device applies the FD response conjugated to a received FD signal from the transmitting device and processes at least a received reference signal based on the PAPR reduction precoder.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for envelope tracking schemes for a node in a wireless communication network. One aspect provides a method for wireless communication by a transmitter device. The method generally includes: combining envelopes associated with subbands of an input signal to be amplified for transmission based on a combination function; amplifying, via an amplifier, the input signal to generate a transmission signal, the input signal being amplified based on a combined envelope signal, representing the combination of the envelopes, received at a supply input of the amplifier; and transmitting the transmission signal to a receiver device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may receive a control signal allocating downlink resources and uplink resources, where the uplink resources puncture the downlink resources and are allocated for transmitting feedback control information. The UE may generate an uplink signal containing the feedback control information and one or more cancelation tones for canceling interference between a downlink signal and the uplink signal in accordance with a timing advance value. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may generate an uplink signal including the feedback control information, where the uplink signal contains uplink symbols and cyclic extensions appended to the uplink symbols, and the cyclic extensions may be based on the timing advance value. The UE may transmit, while receiving downlink data on the downlink resources, the uplink signal including the feedback control information using the set of uplink resources.

Abstract: A device may encode a first picture of the video data to generate first encoded video data; transmit the first encoded video data to a receiving device; receive, from the receiving device, encoding selection data for a second picture of the video data, wherein: the encoding selection data for the second picture indicate encoding selections used to encode an estimate of the second picture, and the second picture follows the first picture in decoding order; encode the second picture based on the encoding selection data for the second picture to generate second encoded video data; and transmit the second encoded video data to the receiving device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device, a codeword corresponding to a set of information bits encoded using a polar code, and the second wireless device may obtain a first set of log likelihood ratios (LLRs) based on performing a first decoding operation on the codeword. In cases that the first wireless device identifies a failure of the second wireless device to decode one or more of the information bits, the first wireless device may retransmit a subset of the information bits to the second wireless device independently of the polar code. The second wireless device may then attempt to decode the codeword a second time using the polar code and based on a combination of a first set of LLRs and a second set of LLRs corresponding to the subset of the information bits.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein relate to schemes for channel aware tone reservation (CATR) contention with a reference signal. A network entity determines, based on a reference signal pattern, a reference signal resource element within a first slot of a channel for transmitting a reference signal. The network entity determines, based on a CATR pattern, an initial CATR resource element. The CATR pattern is based on a channel frequency response of the channel. The network entity determines a CATR resource element based on the reference signal resource element, the initial CATR resource element, and a resource element scheme of multiple resource element schemes. The multiple resource element schemes resolve a contention between an overlap of the reference signal resource element and the initial CATR resource element. The network entity transmits an indication of the CATR resource element to a user equipment.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may select a scrambling sequence to use per symbol to reduce variance in a non-linearity parameter for a power amplifier (PA) output between a data symbol and a pilot symbol based on a PA model for at least one pilot symbol or one or more parameters of the model. The receiving device may indicate a capability to blindly estimate the scrambling sequence the transmitting device selected to the transmitting device. If the transmitting device does not receive the capability message from the receiving device or if the capability message indicates the receiving device is not capable of blind estimation, the transmitting device may indicate the selected scrambling sequence to the receiving device. Otherwise, the transmitting device may not indicate the selected scrambling sequence to the receiving device, and the receiving device may blindly estimate the scrambling sequence.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication to operate in a dynamic demodulation reference signal (DMRS) mode, wherein the dynamic DMRS mode includes a use of dynamic DMRS configurations without an explicit indication of DMRS resource locations for the dynamic DMRS configurations. The UE may receive, from the base station based at least in part on receiving the indication to operate in the dynamic DMRS mode, a DMRS using a first dynamic DMRS configuration. Numerous other aspects are described.
