    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first network entity may receive control signaling from a second network entity, the control signaling indicating an image mask representing a color filter array that is used to generate mosaic images at the second network entity. The first network entity may receive a first image from the second network entity over a wireless communications channel and the first image may be a single layer image including a mosaic pattern according to the color filter array. The first network entity may generate a second image based on the first image and the image mask and the second image may include multiple layers associated with colors of the second image.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration signal indicating that tone reservation is activated on a first set of resource elements of a downlink transmission for out of band transmission reduction, where a second set of resource elements of the downlink transmission is reserved for data transmission. The UE may then receive, from a network entity, the downlink transmission including the first set of resource elements and the second set of resource elements. After receiving the downlink transmission, the UE may decode the downlink transmission in accordance with the configuration signal.

A user equipment (UE) may transmit a capability message indicating support for adaptive power amplifier back-off for uplink transmissions. The UE may receive, based at least in part on the capability message, an identifier for an adaptive power amplifier back-off scheme to be applied to an uplink transmission. The UE may perform the uplink transmission according to the adaptive power amplifier back-off scheme, wherein the adaptive power amplifier back-off scheme comprises a change to at least one of an error vector magnitude level for a power amplifier of the UE or an output power of the power amplifier of the UE, wherein the change triggers the power amplifier to operate in a non-linear region such that the uplink transmission includes a non-linear component.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitter device may encode information for a message using a spinal code. The transmitter device may divide the information into sets of bits each including a variable quantity k of bits, and map the sets of bits to symbols to generate a message. The transmitter device may transmit the symbols in an order based on the k values (symbols with smaller k values at the beginning of the message and larger k values at the end). Based on receiving the message, a receiver device may identify the k of each symbol and decode the symbols. The receiver device may identify a partial codeword or determine a likelihood of error associated with the message, which the receiver device may indicate via a feedback message. The transmitter device may retransmit a portion of the message based on the feedback.

    Abstract: Ultra-wide band frequencies used for extended reality (XR) services operate as unlicensed spectrum, which can result in unexpected interference. Although some link adaptation procedures can be used, uncertain link quality can result in sub-optimal utilization of spectrum resources, which may result in poor performance of an XR service. Some aspects described herein enable use of a fixed quantity of re-transmissions of data for an XR frame, with each of the re-transmissions having different XR frame qualities or different quantities of parity bits. The XR device may transmit a feedback message indicating whether the first transmission was successful and may receive a second transmission with additional data for the XR frame. In this way, the XR device can ensure a more efficient use of network resources.
