    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, by a first subscription of the UE, a connection to a first network entity using two transmit (Tx) chains of the UE. The UE may receive, by a second subscription of the UE, a paging message from a second network entity. The UE may receive, by the first subscription from the second subscription, a request for the first subscription to enter a mode that supports one Tx chain. The UE, by the first subscription, may reduce the two Tx chains to the one Tx chain for the first subscription. The UE may perform, by the second subscription to the second network entity, the connection setup based at least in part on the first subscription reducing the two Tx chains to the one Tx chain. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the UE identifies the cell type of a cell based on the support for the UE operating with reduced capability. The cell type may be the reduced-capability (RC) type, indicating the support for the UE operating with the reduced capability, the fallback (FB) type, indicating a lack of support for the UE operating with the reduced capability and support for establishing a connection with the UE operating with the reduced capability, and the neither (N) type, indicating the lack of support for the UE operating with the reduced capability and a lack of support for establishing a connection with the UE operating with the reduced capability. The UE further manages a connection between the UE and the cell based on the cell type.

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication performed at a user equipment (UE), includes transmitting, to a network node, a first indication of a first UE radio capability, the first UE radio capability indicating support for a group of evolved universal terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) new radio (NR) dual connectivity (EN-DC) band combinations. The method also includes receiving, from the network node, an indication of an active EN-DC band combination based on transmitting the first indication. The method further includes transmitting, to the network node, a second indication of a second UE radio capability based on an actual data throughput metric associated with the active EN-DC band combination satisfying a failure condition. The second UE radio capability may indicate support for one or more non-active EN-DC combinations. A method (1500, 1600) may include the following operations. The UE initiates a first random access procedure with the first target device (1515, 1615). The UE performs a second random access procedure successfully with the second target device in the second network during the time interval (1520, 1620).     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently performing measurements and other functions in preparation for communicating with a base station on a secondary cell (SCell). In particular, a user equipment (UE) may switch to a certain bandwidth part (BWP) (e.g., a dormant BWP) on an SCell when the SCell is deactivated, and the UE may perform the appropriate measurements and functions on this BWP (e.g., based on reference signals received on this BWP). In some cases, the UE may determine to switch to the BWP for performing the appropriate measurements and functions based on an inactivity timer expiring or based on an indication from a base station (e.g., on a primary cell (PCell)). Accordingly, once the UE activates the SCell for communications with a base station, the latency associated with preparing for communicating on the SCell may be reduced.
