Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to methods and techniques for wireless communication via non-codebook beam directions to allow dynamic beamforming using non-codebook beam directions. In certain aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain, from a wireless node, a plurality of reference signals (RSs) via one or more receive beams, wherein each of the one or more receive beams is characterized by one of a plurality of codebook beam directions. In certain aspects, the UE may estimate a first non-codebook beam direction of a transmit beam of the wireless node based on a measurement of one or more RSs of the plurality of RSs. In certain aspects, the UE may output a report comprising an indication of the first non-codebook beam direction for transmission to the wireless node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, which may be otherwise known as user equipment (UE) may support repetition of physical downlink control channels (PDCCH) and handling a combined PDCCH candidate associated with multiple search space sets. For example, a UE may combine a first PDCCH candidate corresponding to a first search space set and a second PDCCH candidate corresponding to a second search space set to form a combined PDCCH candidate. The UE may decode the combined PDCCH candidate based on one or more factors, for example, such as a blind decoding PDCCH candidate threshold. As a result, the UE may decode the combined PDCCH candidate in addition to decoding of individual PDCCH candidates, thereby providing increased flexibility for downlink control information (DCI) and improving the reliability of PDCCH.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first transmit receive point (TRP), a downlink control information (DCI) communication, the UE being included in a multi-TRP configuration with the first TRP and a second TRP. The UE may determine information unique to the first TRP. The information unique to the first TRP may be at least one of associated with the DCI communication or included in the DCI communication. The UE may generate a downlink scrambling sequence initialization code, associated with the first TRP, based at least in part on the information unique to the first TRP. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit a set of reference signals spanning a channel to a user equipment (UE), where each of the reference signals is associated with one of a set of transmit beams. The UE may measure a signal quality of each of the set of reference signals. In some cases, each measured signal quality may correspond to one of a set of subbands of the channel and one of the set of transmit beams. The UE may then transmit an indication of at least one signal quality associated with one of the set of subbands and one of the set of transmit beams. In some cases, the UE may indicate the at least one signal quality according to a configuration that may be indicated by the base station or selected by the UE.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for uplink channel transmission for multiple transmit receive points (TRPs). In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) resolves overlapping physical uplink control channels (PUCCHs) in a slot or overlapping PUCCH(s) and PUSCH(s) that are mapped to a same TRP in a multi-TRP scenario and that are mapped to two or more different TRPs in the multi-TRP scenario. For example, in a multi-TRP scenario that includes two TRPs, the UE may eliminate overlap of these uplink channels for each of the two TRPs individually and may additionally eliminate overlap of these uplink channels between the two TRPs.

The UE may identify a parameter of a synchronization signal block based on an operating frequency of the set of operating frequencies for conveying the synchronization signal block and a direction of a beam for conveying the synchronization signal block. The parameter may include an index of the synchronization signal block. The UE may monitor for the synchronization signal block based on the identified parameter.
