Abstract:
An illustrated side view of an exemplary medication for treating ulcerative colitis is presented. The medication is useful for reducing the risk and debilitation associated with having ulcerative colitis, as well as improving overall health. The medication further is useful for removing life threatening complications such as, but not limited to, perforated colon, liver disease, inflammation of skin, joints and eyes, decreasing the risk of colon cancer while eliminating the need for surgery for relief of the ulcerative colitis. The medication is also inexpensive and all natural.
Abstract:
A front loading garbage truck with a unique packing blade that creates a self-cleaning garbage truck without the need for manual clean outs and construction for the accomplishment of same. The packing blade includes a top vertical portion that is in a fixed position and a second bottom vertical portion that is retractable into a horizontal position to allow for repeated pass-throughs to collect all debris prior to emptying the garbage from the truck. Additionally, a unique cab shield sits atop the cab portion that contains a plurality of holes on the sides and along the top sloping face to allow ventilation therethrough and prevent damage to the engine caused by excessive heat.
Abstract:
Glycerol or other reduced carbon sources may be used as a feedstock for the microbial production of chemical products under certain microaerobic conditions. For example, such production may occur under microaerobic or microrespiratory conditions in which electron acceptors are consumed in the reaction as quickly as they are added. In such reactions, the reaction product is at least as reduced as carbon source. Further, during such a reaction, at least some of the carbon source is used to generate cell mass. In addition, microorganisms with modified genomes are provided for carrying out the methods herein.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for dynamic allocation of processing resources and tasks, including multimedia tasks. Tasks are queued, available processing resources are identified, and the available processing resources are allocated among the tasks. The available processing resources are provided with functional programs corresponding to the tasks. The tasks are performed using the available processing resources to produce resulting data, and the resulting data is passed to an input/output device.
Abstract:
A transfer pipe for molten metal includes a pipe wall comprised of graphite or ceramic. The graphite ceramic pipe wall can be surrounded by a pipe wall comprising a low thermally conductive material. Both the graphite or ceramic pipe wall and the low thermally conductive pipe wall can be encased in a rigid wall, for example steel. The transfer pipe can communicate with a molten metal pump to provide a system for moving molten metal.
Abstract:
A reverse percussion device for use with hydraulic percussive drills is provided. The reverse percussion device includes a cycling piston, valve and anvil. The piston and valve move in opposing directions between low and high pressure passages automatically until a lodged drill bit is freed, thereby facilitating removal of the drill bit from the drilled hole and eliminating alternate loosening and tightening of drill string threads. The reverse percussion device preferably includes an automatic disabling feature which causes the reverse percussion operation to cease when the bit is free to retract normally.
