Abstract: A current sensor is configured to detect a current flowing through an electrical conductor. The current sensor includes a core and a coil wound around the core. The core has a hollow configure to allow the electrical conductor to pass through the hollow. The core substantially has a C-shape haying a gap connected to the hollow. At least a part of the gap of the core is located inside the coil. This current sensor suppresses the influence of external noise.

Abstract: An electromagnetic device includes an excitation coil, a stator magnetically combined with the excitation coil, a movable element configured to, when current is flown in the excitation coil, be attracted to the stator by magnetic flux generated at the excitation coil to move in a first direction, and move to a position to be in contact with the stator, a yoke having a first end and a second end, and forming a part of a magnetic path for the magnetic flux generated at the excitation coil, and a yoke extension connected to the second end of the yoke and magnetically combined with the yoke, the stator, and the movable element. An end of the yoke extension in the first direction is positioned on a side of the first direction with respect to an end of the stator in the second direction.

A trip device includes a second exciting coil. The electromagnet device moves the movable element from a first position to a second position. The trip device moves the movable element to a third position. An open state is reached when the movable element is in the first position and the third position. A closed state is reached when the movable element is in the movable element is in the second position.

Abstract: A current sensor is configured to detect a current flowing through an electrical conductor. The current sensor includes a core and a coil wound around the core. The core has a hollow therein configured to allow the electrical conductor to pass through the hollow. The core substantially has a C-shape having a gap connected to the hollow. The core has a pair of end surfaces facing each other in a facing direction across the gap. The core includes plural split cores joined to one another. Each pair of split cores of the plural split cores adjacent to each other have respective joining surfaces joined to each other. The respective joining surfaces of the each pair of split cores being parallel to the facing direction. This current sensor has a desired sensitivity characteristic.

Abstract: An electromagnetic relay includes an electromagnet device, a contactor, and a trip device turning the contactor into an open state in which the contactor opens when an abnormal current flows. The electromagnet device includes a first excitation coil, a fixed element, first and second movable elements, and a permanent magnet. The contactor includes a fixed contact and a movable contact. In the electromagnetic relay, while the permanent magnet causes the first movable element to attractingly contact the second movable element, the fixed element attracts the first movable element due to a magnetic flux generated by the first excitation coil so as to move the second movable element together with the first movable element from a normal position to an attracted position. In the contactor, the movable contact moves, as the second movable element moves, so as to switch between a closed state in which the movable contact contacts the fixed contact and the open state in which the movable contact is removed from the fixed contact. The contactor is turned into the closed state when the second movable element is located at the attracted position. The trip device includes a second excitation coil connected in series to the contactor and a spring for acting a force on the second movable element in a direction away from the first movable element.
