Abstract: A vehicle sets a first determination region of a first obstacle and a second determination region, on the basis of a position of the first obstacle. The second determination region is located at a position farther than the first determination region. A reliability of the second obstacle is set to a first reliability in a case where a position of a second obstacle falls outside the first determination region and falls outside the second determination region. The reliability of the second obstacle is set to a second reliability higher than the first reliability in a case where the position of the second obstacle falls within the first determination region or falls within the second determination region. Braking is applied to the vehicle body and/or acceleration of the vehicle body is suppressed, on the basis of the reliability of the second obstacle and the position of the second obstacle.

Abstract: A vehicle including a vehicle control device is disclosed. The vehicle control device determines whether an object is a preceding vehicle and whether a brake light of the preceding vehicle is on or off. When the object is a preceding vehicle and its brake light is on, the vehicle control device transmits a braking request that instructs a braking control device to stop the vehicle at a position at which an inter-vehicle distance between the preceding vehicle and the vehicle is equal to or larger than a first distance. When the object is a preceding vehicle and its brake light is off, the vehicle control device transmits a braking request that instructs the braking control device to stop the vehicle at a position at which the inter-vehicle distance is equal to or larger than a second distance being smaller than the first distance.

Abstract: A driving support apparatus includes a memory, and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to detect an obstacle; control a driving force of the vehicle to perform collision avoidance control for the obstacle; calculate a reduction amount of the driving force when the vehicle has climbed over a target object, in accordance with a distance between the vehicle and the obstacle when the vehicle has climbed over the target object; and control the collision avoidance control so as to gradually increase the driving force from an initial driving force being a driving force smaller than required driving force determined from an accelerator position of an accelerator pedal until a vehicle speed of the vehicle reaches a set vehicle speed, and so as to reduce the driving force by the reduction amount when the vehicle speed of the vehicle reaches the set vehicle speed.

Abstract: A vehicle periphery warning device includes a detector device and a hardware processor. The detector device detects a second vehicle differing from a first vehicle. The hardware processor functions as a setting unit, an activation controller, and a corrector. The setting unit serves to set a warning area on a downstream side in a traveling direction of the first vehicle in accordance with an angle between the traveling direction of the first vehicle and a traveling direction of the second vehicle. The activation controller serves to, when the second vehicle enters the warning area, activate a warning operation activator device performing a warning operation. The corrector serves to correct the warning area when accuracy of detecting the second vehicle by the detector device is lower than a predetermined degree of accuracy.

Abstract: An object detection device includes first and second detectors each configured to detect an object by transmitting an ultrasonic wave in a moving direction of the moving object and receiving a reflected wave of the ultrasonic wave, a second detector, a memory, and a hardware processor coupled to the memory, and configured to: determine that an obstacle is present in the moving direction of the moving object, based on object detection results by the first and second detectors; determine crossing of the obstacle based on object detection results by the first and second detectors in a state in which it is being determined that the obstacle is present; and cause a driving controller mounted on the moving object, to release driving restriction control of restricting movement of the moving object when determining the crossing, or prohibit the driving controller from releasing the driving restriction control under a predetermined condition.

Abstract: A correction amount setting apparatus sets a correction amount for a sound wave sensor that is mounted on a vehicle and that detects an obstacle by transmitting and receiving a sound wave, the correction amount being a correction amount of a sensitivity to a reflection wave or a threshold for determining whether an obstacle is present. The correction amount setting apparatus includes: a correction amount calculator that acquires temperature information from a temperature sensor that detects an outside air temperature around the vehicle and, based on the temperature information, determines the correction amount; and a correction amount setter that determines and sets the correction amount for the sound wave sensor when the vehicle, from start of traveling, after having been accelerated to a speed higher than a reference speed, is decelerated to the reference speed.
