Abstract:
A media transaction device comprising: a device housing having a front panel; a media processor provided at an interior of the device housing; a media accommodating unit provided at an interior of the media processor; and a foreign matter sensor detecting absence/presence of a foreign object at the media accommodating unit. The front panel includes a first port for inserting and dispensing the media, and a first shutter opening and closing the first port. The media processor includes a second port disposed to face the first port, and a second shutter for opening and closing the second port. The media are inserted into and dispensed from the second port such that the media are inserted into and dispensed from the first port, and opening and closing of the first shutter and the second shutter are controlled based on detection results by the foreign matter sensor.
Abstract:
A lower pressure plate (43) is disposed upon a paper currency pressing part (34) of a paper currency intake part (5) below an upper pressure plate (41) with a spring (44) interposed therebetween, and the paper currency pressing part (34) presses the lower pressure plate (43) upon stacked paper currency (BLC). Thus, when the stacked paper currency (BLC) oscillates vertically with the rotation of a picker roller (23), the paper currency pressing part (34) absorbs by the spring (44) an upward force which is applied from the stacked paper currency (BLC). Furthermore, the paper currency pressing part (34) presses the lower pressure plate (43) by a restoring force of the spring (44) with respect to the falling stacked paper currency (BLC). Accordingly, the paper currency pressing part (34) continues to make the lower pressure plate (43) make contact with the uppermost part of the stacked paper currency (BLC), allowing the intake of the paper currency (BL) to continue without misalignment of the paper currency in the stacked paper currency (BLC) to occur.

Abstract:
In a storage box guidance section provided to an upper portion of a banknote storage box in a banknote pay-in/pay-out device of an ATM, a groove is provided running along a front-rear direction at the right side of a storage box conveyance guide group. Further, in a handover section provided to a casing in the banknote pay-in/pay-out device, a position establishing section is provided to the right side of a handover section conveyance guide group. The left-right direction position of the storage box guidance section may accordingly be established with respect to the handover section by positioning the position establishing section inside the groove when storing a lower frame loaded with the banknote storage box and the like in the casing of the banknote pay-in/pay-out device. This enables finger sections of the storage box conveyance guide group and finger sections of the handover section conveyance guide group to be interlocked with each other without abutting.
Abstract:
In a sheet transport apparatus, first transport guides are provided in pair in parallel to, and spaced from, each other to form a first transport path to convey sheets. The transport guides have one ends engageable with the ends of second transport guides, which are provided in pair to be parallel to, and spaced from, each other to form a second transport path. A supporting member rotatably supports the second transport guides in response to the position of the first transport guides. When the ends of the first and second transport guides are brought into engagement with each other with the one ends of the second transport guides inclined against the first transport guides to displace the ends from each other, both transport paths can be connected to each other without changing the transverse cross-sectional depth thereof, thereby preventing a step or hollow from being formed in the connecting section.
Abstract:
An upper-side conveyance guide of a temporary holding section is provided with an upper-side movable guide that capable of moving in coordination with the drum diameter of a drum so as to be interposed between the upper-side conveyance guide and the drum at all times. The upper-side movable guide guides a banknote that is being conveyed gripped only at the center by a banknote conveying portion of a main tape, between the upper-side conveyance guide and the drum. Folding of the banknote is accordingly suppressed by the upper-side movable guide, enabling the banknote to be guided to a gap between the upper-side conveyance guide and a lower-side conveyance guide without catching on a rear face of the upper-side conveyance guide or the like. Accordingly, the banknote can be prevented from contacting portions that should not be contacted and causing conveyance issues as a result.
Abstract:
A medium processing device includes: a drum that has a circular cylinder shape and that rotates about a rotation shaft; a tape that, together with a medium, is wrapped onto a drum circumferential face, this being a circumferential face of the drum; a reel onto which the tape is pre-wound, and from which the tape is pulled out accompanying rotation of the drum; and a rotation restriction mechanism. The rotation restriction mechanism includes a restriction section that is obstructed from moving by the tape wrapped onto the drum circumferential face, and that moves when the drum rotates in an unwind direction to unwind the tape such that the tape comes away from the drum circumferential face to expose a wrapping location of the tape onto the drum circumferential face, and a stopper section that abuts the restriction section so as to restrict rotation of the drum in the unwind direction.
Abstract:
A sheet paper conveyor includes pairs of conveyor guides that form a sheet paper conveyance path between guide surfaces which face each other with a predetermined conveyance path width between them and which are parallel to each other, and that are engaged with end portions of pairs of connection-side conveyor guides that form a conveyance path for the sheet paper using connection subject conveyance path guide surfaces that face each other with the conveyance path width between them and are parallel to each other, and with one end portions in a conveyance direction of the sheet paper. Supporting portions rotatably support the pairs of conveyor guides in accordance with positions of the pairs of connection-side conveyor guides such that the conveyance path width is maintained and such that the parallel state between the guide surfaces is maintained.
Abstract:
A medium processing device including: a main tape having one end fixed to a drum, and being wound onto the drum while sandwiching a medium with the drum; a first roller at which the main tape unwound from a main reel is turned back at a distant location from the drum; a second roller at which the main tape, turned back by the first roller and travelled along the drum, is separated from the drum and turned back toward the drum, the medium being sandwiched between portions of the main tape turned back by the first and second rollers and being conveyed between the second roller and the drum; an auxiliary tape having one end fixed to a location of the drum that does not overlap with the main tape, and winding the medium onto the drum at least within a separation range of the main tape from the drum.
Abstract:
Present invention provides a medium processing device and a medium transaction device that may perform conveyance processing due to input and output of mediums with simple configuration. In a banknote deposit/withdrawal device of ATM, conveyance path inside a conveyance section is formed in straight line shape running mainly along front-rear direction. During deposit counting processing of deposit processing, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device retains deposit reject banknotes in a conveyance path retention section within a second conveyance section, and decides and stores conveyance destination for each banknote based on verification results obtained from a verification section, and during deposit storage processing of deposit processing, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device conveys banknotes fed out from a temporary holding section to the decided conveyance destinations to be stored. During withdrawal processing, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device decides banknote conveyance destinations based on detection results of a run sensor of the verification section.
