Abstract: An ultrasound endoscope includes: an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a living body; an ultrasound transmitting and receiving unit; a balloon surrounding the ultrasound transmitting and receiving unit; a water supply port for supplying water to the balloon; an operating unit provided at a proximal end side of the insertion portion; a cable extending from the operating unit; a channel provided in the insertion portion and leading to the water supply port to supply water toward the water supply port; a pipe provided in the cable; a cylinder provided at the operating unit, one end of the channel and one end of the pipe being opened to the cylinder; an injection port provided in the pipe; and a duct having one end leading to the pipe via the injection port and having the other end to which a syringe for injecting water or supplying air is attachable.

Abstract: An ultrasound endoscope, includes: an insertion portion configured to be inserted into a subject, acquire an optical subject image, and transmit and receive ultrasound; an ultrasound transducer configured to emit the ultrasound in a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the insertion portion, and perform scanning in a circumferential direction of an axis parallel to the longitudinal direction; a forward field optical portion that is provided at a distal end of the insertion portion in the longitudinal direction, the distal end being where observation light coming from a forward field enters; and a side field optical portion that is provided at a distal end side of the insertion portion in the longitudinal direction and is where observation light from a side field including a part of a scan plane of the ultrasound transducer enters, the side field being a field in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: An ultrasound endoscope includes: an insertion part including a distal-end rigid part, a curve part joined to a proximal end side of the distal-end rigid part, and a flexible tube part joined to a proximal end side of the curve part; an ultrasound transducer in which a plurality of piezoelectric elements capable of transmitting and receiving ultrasound are arranged annularly along a circumferential direction of the distal-end rigid part; an imaging sensor provided in the distal-end rigid part; an ultrasound cable including a plurality of coaxial cores that are electrically connected to the piezoelectric elements, respectively, and a metallic integration shield that covers the coaxial cores, the ultrasound cable being fixed to a proximal end side of the distal-end rigid part and on a side of an outer circumference; and a flexible substrate configured to electrically connect the piezoelectric elements and the coaxial cores to each other.

Abstract: An endoscope button for an endoscope including a cylinder communicating with tubes includes: a first unit and a second unit that are attachable and detachable with respect to a fitting part fixed to the cylinder, and that are separable from each other in a state being removed from the fitting part. The first unit has a cylindrical shape, and includes a cylindrical member that is attachable and detachable with respect to the fitting part. The second unit includes: a fixing member that is inserted inside the cylindrical member in a state in which the endoscope button is attached to the fitting part, and is fixed to the cylindrical member; and a first movable member that is installed movably with respect to the fixing member, and that is movable back and forth inside the cylinder in the state in which the endoscope button is attached to the fitting part.
