摘要： This invention relates to an image forming apparatus including a developing unit which develops an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier by using a two-component developing agent containing polymerized toner. The developing unit includes a supply/convey member which conveys the two-component developing agent in the axial direction while agitating it and a toner density sensor which detects the toner density of the two-component developing agent. The toner density sensor is placed to be in a non-contact state with respect to the supply/convey member and oppose it with a gap of 0.8 mm or less. The diameter of the supply/convey member is set to 23 mm or more.

摘要： A color image forming apparatus including: a plurality of developing devices for forming a black toner image and a color toner image; an image carrier for carrying toner images; a density detecting device for detecting densities of the black toner image and the color toner image each on the image carrier, the density detecting device having a light emitting element and a light sensitive element; and a controller for the density detecting device; wherein, when detecting a density of the black toner image, the controller controls a drive voltage of the light emitting element so that an amount of received light from a non-image area becomes a first predetermined value; and when detecting a density of the color toner image, the controller controls the drive voltage so that an amount of received light from a non-image area becomes a second predetermined value.

摘要： An image forming apparatus including: an image forming unit including an image carrier for carrying a toner image to be transferred onto a sheet and a correcting toner image to be used for adjusting a density of the toner image, a detection sensor for detecting density information of the correcting toner image formed in a non-image area by the image forming unit, and a controller for causing the image forming unit to correct an image forming condition based on the density information to execute a stabilization control, wherein, when receiving at least one information of interruption information, mode switching information and job switching information during execution of the stabilization control, the controller causes the image forming unit continuously form non-formed residual correcting toner images different in density on the image carrier before finishing a processing operation in the stabilization control under execution.

摘要： An image forming machine such as a photocopier or a printer for forming a toner image of an original document on a recording sheet. The image forming machine includes a charger for charging a photoreceptor; the photoreceptor, having a surface, for holding a toner image on the surface; a laser beam writer for writing a latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor; a multi-color developer for developing the latent image with a color toner so that a color toner image is formed on the surface in which the color toner image is superimposed for multiple times so that a multi-color toner image is formed on the surface; a mono-color developer for developing the latent image with a monochrome toner so that a monochrome toner image is formed on the surface; a transfer mechanism for transferring one of the multi-color toner image and the monochrome toner image from the surface onto the recording sheet; neutralizer for neutralizing the surface after the transfer mechanism transfers one of the multi-color toner image and the monochrome toner image onto the recording sheet; a cleaner for cleaning a residual toner on the surface after the surface is neutralized by the neutralizer; and a controller for changing a neutralizing voltage of the neutralizer being impressed onto the surface.

摘要： An image forming apparatus may include an image carrier for carrying a toner image and a correcting toner image, a detection sensor for detecting density information of the correcting toner image; and a controller for causing the image forming unit to correct an image forming condition based on the density information detected by the detection unit to execute a stabilization control. The image forming unit may form a plurality of correcting toner images different in density over plural non-image areas. The controller may determine which mode is set between a processing speed priority mode and an image quality priority mode. The image forming unit may continuously form correcting toner images on the image carrier in a different manner depending on the mode. The detection sensor may detect density information of the correcting toner images. The image forming unit may finish a processing operation in the stabilization control under execution.

摘要： An image forming apparatus may include a sensor which detects a density of a patch image formed on an image carrier; an image quality control section which controls an image forming condition based on a detection value of the sensor; and a judging section which judges if the detection value has a tendency of increasing or decreasing, or not, wherein, the image quality control section compensates the image forming condition with a first compensating amount in case when the detection value does not have the tendency of increasing nor decreasing, and compensates the image forming condition with a second compensating amount of which absolute value is larger than an absolute value of the first compensating amount corresponding to the second compensating amount, in case when the detection value has the tendency of increasing or decreasing.
