摘要: An SSB radio receiver having an inexpensive wide-band IF filter which passes through not only a reception objective SSB station IF signal but also an interference SSB station IF signal simultaneously. These signals are SSB-detected to reproduce the original modulating audio signals with a BFO frequency, the BFO frequency itself located out of the pass-band of the wide-band IF filter. The frequency of the reception objective SSB station IF signal is selected to be nearest to the BFO frequency, preferably at an end of the pass-band width of the IF filter. Frequency spectrums of the SSB-detected audio signals are separated by a frequency difference comprising the difference between the BFO signal and the IF signals. The SSB-detected audio signals are applied to a selected low-pass filter, such as an inexpensive active filter, having a pass-band which covers or passes only the SSB-detected audio signal of the reception objective SSB station IF signal.

摘要: A telephone answering apparatus permits a called party to select between an automatic mode wherein a message is automatically played back to a caller without any action of the called party and a prenouncer mode wherein a message is played back to the caller when activated by the called party. The telephone answering apparatus includes a ring detector circuit connectable to an outside line and responsive to an incoming call on the outside line for producing a ring detected signal, a timer and driver circuit responsive to the ring detected signal for producing a playback signal and a manually actuatable answer switch. A mode switch capable of selecting one of the prenouncer mode and the automatic mode is connected to the timer and driver circuit, to the ring detector circuit and to the answer switch.

摘要: The present invention provides a data transfer system that performs a data transfer between a master receiver and at least one slave receiver each of which has a built-in memory storing data therein and is identical in configuration. Upon the data transfer, such at least one slave receiver in which the data transfer is performed, is disposed in the neighborhood of the master receiver. The master receiver FSK-modulates a local oscillation signal of a first local oscillator and a standard frequency signal of a standard signal generator using the data read from the corresponding built-in memory, and radiates the first local oscillation signal generated from the first local oscillator into the air as a leakage radio wave, whereas such at least one slave receiver receives the leakage radio wave therein and writes data acquired from the received signal into the corresponding built-in memory, whereby a data transfer is performed between the master receiver and the slave receiver.

摘要: An each area automatic selection receiver of an emergency radio signal is an emergency broadcast receiver which enables current area code CAC to be updated automatically. This receiver is constituted in such a way that a GPS receiver obtains current position information by use of the satellite positioning system, then, a converter converts the current position information into an area code by use of a conversion table to write the area code into a code memory. For that reason, even though the receiver moves anywhere, contents of the code memory are always updated to an area code of an area of the movement destination automatically. Therefore, emergency broadcast of the area is always capable of being received correctly.

摘要: A power-saving relay circuit for reducing power consumption from a power supply comprises a relay including a selectively energizable relay coil, a plurality of movable contactors, and a plurality of fixed contacts including first and second fixed contacts associated with each of the movable contactors. Each of the movable contactors is normally in electrical contact with the first fixed contact and responsive to energization of the relay coil for breaking the electrical contact with the first fixed contact and for making electrical contact with the second fixed contact. A current limiting circuit is coupled in electrical series circuit intermediate a selected one of the second fixed contacts and the relay coil. The movable contactor associated with the selected one of the second fixed contacts is capable of being coupled in circuit with the power supply for completing an electrical circuit through the current limiting circuit for energizing the relay coil.A method is also provided for reducing power consumption from a power supply by a relay of the type described above. This method comprises providing a current limiting circuit in series circuit intermediate one end of the relay coil and a selected one of the second fixed contacts; and coupling the movable contactor associated with the selected second fixed contact with the power supply.

摘要: With the objective of providing a scanning receiver capable of capturing a target radio wave in an extremely short period of time by use of a simple constituting means, a plurality of wide frequency division bands in which a full frequency range is divided into predetermined frequency ranges are set and the field intensities of received radio waves are retrieved using the output of an intermediate frequency amplifier circuit over the set wide frequency division bands in order. Further, when a received radio wave having a field intensity greater than or equal to a prescribed level is obtained upon the above retrieval, receive frequencies are swept from one end of each of the wide frequency division bands to the other end thereof. When a target radio wave can be captured upon the above sweeping, transition to the operation of receiving the target radio wave is performed. When the target radio wave is not obtained, the retrieval of field intensities of received radio waves and the sweeping of receive frequencies following the retrieval are performed over the non-retrieved wide frequency division bands in a sequential order to capture the corresponding target radio wave.

摘要: A power supply unit which has charging function enables error charging of a non-charged-type battery to be prevented, which battery is used as a power supply of an electric circuit device. Such the power supply unit is materialized with simple constitution and a low price. The power supply unit in the electric circuit device includes an external power supply connecting power supply jack, a protection circuit, and so forth. A charged-type battery case is provided with a positive electrode terminal of the power supply unit, a positive terminal corresponding to a first and a second negative electrode terminals, and a first and a second negative terminals. While a non-charged-type battery case is only provided with a positive terminal and a first negative terminal. A terminal corresponding to the second terminal is not provided for the non-charged-type battery case. Consequently, when the charged-type battery is employed, the charged-type battery is charged on the occasion of connection of the external battery, while the non-charged-type battery is not charged as the non-charged-type battery is employed, it is capable of preventing failure charging of the non-charged-type battery.

摘要: A radio receiver includes a noise blanking system comprising a switching circuit in the signal path which is responsive to a blanking signal for preventing passage of signals. A blanking signal producing circuit is in the signal path ahead of the switching circuit and is responsive to predetermined noise signals received by the radio receiver for producing the blanking signal. The receiver also includes an AGC circuit for producing a gain control signal and a signal strength meter coupled for response to the gain control signal. A linearity control system comprises a current controlling circuit responsive to a meter control signal for controlling the current flow through the meter so as to increase the range of linear response of the meter. A signalling circuit is coupled with the AGC circuit and with the current controlling circuit and is responsive to the gain control signal for producing the meter control signal. A tuning system for the receiver comprises a first local oscillator responsive to first oscillator control signals for varying the frequency of first oscillator signals over a first range at first increments. A second local oscillator normally produces a second oscillator signal at a fixed frequency. A frequency varying circuit is coupled with the second oscillator and responsive to second oscillator control signals for varying the frequency of the second oscillator signals over a second range at second increments which are smaller than the first increments. A control circuit produces the first and second oscillator control signals.

摘要: The present invention provides a transmitter-receiver for short-range wireless transmission, which comprises a frequency scan signal receiving section that searches a vacant channel frequency by frequency scanning of a receiving wave, and a signal transmitting section that transmits a transmitting wave using the searched vacant channel frequency. The frequency scan signal receiving section sequentially changes a frequency of a PLL oscillator by control of a controller to thereby search the presence or absence of a receive frequency lying in a predetermined frequency band depending on an output state of a carrier detector. When the controller detects a vacant channel frequency, the frequency scan signal receiving section fixes the oscillation frequency of the PLL oscillator to an oscillation frequency corresponding to the vacant channel frequency and supplies the fixed oscillation frequency to the signal transmitting section. The signal transmitting section forms a transmit signal with the supplied oscillation frequency as a local oscillation signal and transmits the transmit signal having the same channel frequency as the vacant channel frequency as a transmitting wave.
