摘要： In the mobile telephone, an image display surface of a display is arranged on a front surface of a casing, and a camera is arranged on a rear surface thereof. The mobile telephone includes: a proximity sensor, and acceleration sensor, and a control circuit. The control circuit includes: a unit that detects that the casing has been placed on the object; a unit that performs a color conversion process for converting a color of each pixel into a complementary color on an image signal obtained from the camera before detection of that the casing has been placed on the object; and a unit that outputs a color-converted image on the image display surface when an incoming call/mail is received after detection of that the casing has been placed on the object.

摘要： Provided is a mobile telephone which can easily be found when called in case the mobile telephone is placed on a desk or a floor. An image display plane of a display (5) is arranged on the front surface of a casing (1) of the mobile telephone. A camera (7) is arranged on the rear surface of the casing (1). The mobile telephone includes: a proximity sensor (8), an acceleration sensor (16), and a control circuit (12). The control circuit (12) has: a means for detecting when the casing (1) is placed on an object according to an output value of the proximity sensor (8) and an output value of the acceleration sensor (16); a means for subjecting an image signal obtained from the camera (7) before detection of that the casing (1) is placed on the object, to a color conversion process which converts a color of each pixel into a complementary color in accordance with a predetermined conversion rule; and a means for outputting a color-converted image signal to the display (5) and displaying the color-converted image on the image display surface of the display (5) when a called state is detected after detection of that the casing (1) is placed on the object.

摘要： A vehicle navigation system computes an optimal route for a journey. When the system detects that a vehicle has deviated from the optimal route, information that tells the driver of the deviation of the vehicle is displayed. When the driver turns on a recomputation command switch after reading the information, a new optimal route is computed, with the vehicle's present location as the new starting point. If the vehicle deviates again after computation of the new optimal route, another new optimal route is automatically recomputed, again with the vehicle's present location as the new starting point. The driver is thus freed from having to initiate the recomputation manually.

摘要： Where a vehicle deviates from a calculated optimal route, the system displays a message indicating the vehicle's deviation. The driver of the vehicle commands computation of a new optimum route. The system selects a new starting point from a point substantially ahead of the vehicle, recomputes the optimal route, and determines the route from the new starting point to the destination. The new starting point is far enough ahead of the vehicle to ensure that the route computation is completed before the vehicle reaches it. This prevents overrunning the new starting point before the calculation of a new optimum route is completed. Navigation guidance, computed for the new optimal route, is then displayed.

This primary direction indication image has a proximal portion that represents a road along which the vehicle is now moving and a direction indication portion that represents a road which the vehicle is to enter at the next intersection. One or more auxiliary direction indication images, with direction indication portions that represent other roads connected to the next intersection, are displayed on the display unit together with the primary direction indication image. The direction indication portion of the auxiliary direction indication image extends from the distal end of the proximal portion of the primary direction indication image.
