Abstract: In connection with an RF communication system, exemplary aspects involve a method for use in a communication system in which a first system (e.g., 802.11) that is asynchronously based and which is susceptible to interference from a second system (e.g., synchronous-based LTE-CV2X). Such interference is due to the frequency spectrum used by the first and second systems overlapping. To mitigate interference issues, example methods spreads out the times for messages in the first system, based on information concerning occupancy of the channel, and transmitting them relative to the end of a cycled transmission allocated for use by the second system.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward effecting communications in a manner that suppresses side-channel communications that may otherwise cause interference. As may be implemented in a manner consistent with one or more aspects characterized herein, an apparatus and/or method involve transmitting enhanced signals for in-band transmissions over a first one of a plurality of wireless communications channels shared by a plurality of stations for communicating wireless station-to-station communications. While transmitting the enhanced signals, communications by legacy devices on a second one of the wireless communications channels adjacent the first channel are suppressed by generating and transmitting a side channel interference signal on the second channel, therein causing legacy devices receiving the enhanced signals to withhold communications on the second channel.

Abstract: A radar system includes a transmitter, a receiver, a processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing machine instructions. The machine instructions cause the processor to obtain an indication of an approaching object, perform radar sensing of a region of interest to obtain environmental information, and transmit the environmental information for the region of interest to a communication system of the approaching object. In some implementations, the processor obtains the indication of the approaching object by receiving, from the communication system of the approaching object, a request for the environmental information for the region of interest. In some implementations, the processor obtains the indication of the approaching object by determining a location of the approaching object relative to the region of interest, and the radar system transmits the environmental information in response to the location of the approaching object being within a threshold distance of the region of interest.
