    Abstract: A display panel including a plurality of sub-pixel repeating units is provided. The sub-pixel repeating units are repeatedly arranged on the display panel. Each of the sub-pixel repeating units includes at least one first color sub-pixel and at least one second color sub-pixel. On the display panel, the adjacent first color sub-pixels form a first polygon, and the adjacent second color sub-pixels form a second polygon. The area of the first polygon is at least twice the area of the second polygon.

    Abstract: A display driver adapted to drive a display panel is provided. The display panel includes a pixel column direction and a pixel row direction. The display driver includes an image data processor unit. The image data processor unit performs a two-dimensional subpixel rendering operation on an input image data to generate an output image data. The display driver drives the display panel according to the output image data. The two-dimensional subpixel rendering operation includes a first one-dimensional subpixel rendering operation in a first direction and a second one-dimensional subpixel rendering operation in a second direction. The first direction is one of the pixel column direction and the pixel row direction, and the second direction is another one of the pixel column direction and the pixel row direction.

The sub-pixel groups are arranged repeatedly to form a pixel array, and each of the sub-pixel groups is written by a plurality of pixel data. The sub-pixel group includes a plurality of main type pixel units and a plurality of sub type pixel units. Each of the main type pixel units is written by one pixel data among the plurality of pixel data, and each of the sub type pixel units is written by at least one pixel data among the plurality of pixel data. The main type pixel units are arranged to form a geometry form and the main type pixel units surround a single sub type pixel unit among the sub type pixel units.

    Abstract: A display apparatus including a display panel and a display driver is provided. The display panel includes a sub-pixel repeat array.     Abstract: A display panel and a display driver are provided. The display panel includes a plurality of sub-pixel repeating units, which are arranged repeatedly to form a pixel array. Each row of the sub-pixel repeating unit includes an odd number of sub-pixels, where every two sub-pixels are regarded as one pixel unit, and another sub-pixel is added at the last column of the sub-pixel repeating unit. The odd-numbered sub-pixels are respectively written by N groups of pixel data. The amount of these sub-pixels is 2N+1, which is between two to two and a half times of the amount of the pixel data. Each odd-numbered column of the sub-pixel repeating unit includes the sub-pixels of two different colors, which are alternately arranged in each odd-numbered column.
