Abstract: An approach is provided for providing a querying of one or more resources based on one or more terms from an input within at least one search field. A querying platform determines an input in at least one search field, the input comprising at least one resource identifier and one or more terms. The querying platform further causes, at least in part, a querying of one or more resources associated with the at least one resource identifier for content based, at least in part, on the one or more terms. The querying platform also causes, at least in part, a querying of one or more resources associated with the at least one resource identifier for content based, at least in part, on the one or more terms.

Abstract: In one embodiment, at least a portion of a telephone call from an unknown caller is recorded and played in response to a subsequent call from the unknown caller. At a telephone or a network device, a caller identification number associated with an incoming call is received. A query for a contact database using the caller identification number is generated, and if an empty result is returned from the contact database, a recording for the caller identification number is accessed. The user is presented with an option to play the recording for the caller identification number such that the user initiates a command to play the recording for the caller identification number.
