    Abstract: An apparatus, method and SW for HARQ control are disclosed. The method includes: analyzing (514) a beginning part of a data packet received on a specific frequency band and in a scheduled slot between a user apparatus and a radio access network to predict a success of decoding the data packet after received in full; and controlling (516) a hybrid automatic repeat request procedure associated with the data packet based on the predicted success using the specific frequency band and the scheduled slot for full-duplex inband signaling.

    Abstract: There is provided a method in a radio communication network providing a service for a plurality of devices, the method comprising: determining a service outage probability for a device that is going to move to a sub-area of a coverage area of the network, the service outage probability associated with said sub-area; in response to determining that the service outage probability exceeds a threshold, requesting a measurement device to move to said sub-area and to perform one or more radio frequency measurements; determining whether the service outage probability exceeds another threshold based at least on the requested one or more radio frequency measurements; and triggering at least one action if the service outage probability exceeds said another threshold.

For example, fifth generation (5G) wireless communication systems may benefit from a coordinated reliable random access technique based on common random access channel resources for a quality of service aware multi-connectivity link. A method can include preparing a random access message at a user equipment. The method can also include transmitting the random access message from the user equipment on a shared resource. The shared resource can include a resource, such as a random access channel, known by a plurality of access nodes or shared by a plurality of access nodes.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for distributed small cell scanning.     Abstract: According to an aspect, there is provided a network node comprising means for performing the following. Initially, a trained machine learning algorithm for predicting a probability of failed delivery of data packets based on measurements is maintained in a database. The network node performs, for each of its wireless communication links, the following. The network node causes performing measurements relating to a first wireless communication link to form a measurement data set and predicts, using the trained machine learning algorithm and the measurement data set, a probability of failed delivery of a data packet over the first wireless communication link. The network node determines whether the probability of failed delivery of the data packet exceeds a threshold. If it does, the network node transmits to a first receiver the data packet over the first wireless communication link and one of a copy of the data packet and redundancy data.
