    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for user equipment based timing advance measurements. The method may include receiving a layer 1/layer 2 triggered mobility configuration for one or more candidate target cells, wherein UE-based TA measurement is enabled for a plurality of cells comprising the one or more candidate target cells and performing user equipment-based timing advance measurements for the plurality of cells according to a first user equipment-based timing advance measurements behavior during a layer 1/layer 2 triggered mobility procedure. An indication to enable a second user equipment-based timing advance measurements behavior may be received. User equipment-based timing advance measurements for the plurality of cells according to the second user equipment-based timing advance measurements behavior based on the indication may be performed.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a first cell activation when the cell discontinuous transmission (DTX)/discontinuous reception (DRX) is applied. In particular, a network device transmits a configuration of cell DTX and/or a configuration of cell DRX for a first cell to a terminal device. The network device also transmits an activation indication for the first cell. The terminal device monitors a set of reference signals from the network device during an activation procedure of the first cell. The terminal device further transmits a report that is based on a measurement on the set of reference signals to a cell that is a special cell or a physical uplink control channel cell. In this way, it can reduce the latency of the activation of the first cell.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to UE type switching. In an aspect, a terminal device transmits, to a network device, capability information indicating support of a plurality of types of the terminal device. Then, the network device transmits an indication for switching a type of the terminal device to the terminal device. Moreover, the terminal device performs type switching based on the indication and a requirement for an interruption caused by the type switching. In this way, it is allowed to avoid transmission failure due to the interruption caused by type switching, and thus improve resource utilization and transmission flexibility.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer program product configure an uplink timing advance loop in order to facilitate uplink transmission including uplink transmission following a change in the uplink beam. In the context of a method, it is determined that a plurality of timing advance loops are supported to a plurality of transmission points. In response to a triggering mobility event, the method determines whether uplink timing information is available for a respective transmission point. In response to a determination that uplink timing information is unavailable for the respective transmission point, the method configures an uplink timing advance loop by synchronizing to a downlink beam and/or reference signal from the respective transmission point setting a timing advance value and then using a gradual timing adjustment procedure to adjust the uplink timing advance loop.
