Abstract:
An example technique is provided for receiving, by a target base station (BS) from a source BS, information identifying a source cell or the source BS, and a first time advance value used by the user device to transmit signals to the source BS, receiving a signal by the target BS that was transmitted from the user device based on the first time advance value, determining, by the target BS based upon the first time advance value and the received signal from the user device, a second time advance value to be used by the user device to transmit data to the target BS, sending the second time advance value from the target BS to the source BS, receiving, by the target BS, a handover of the user device from the source BS to the target BS, and receiving data by the target BS from the user device based on the second time advance value.
Abstract:
A technique including: detecting at a communication device via a primary cell an identification of a plurality of cells operated at respective sites on the same radio resources as potential secondary cells for the communication device; subsequently detecting at the communication device via the primary cell an indication to perform one or more operations for one of the plurality of cells; and in response to the indication, automatically determining not to also perform the one or more operations for all other cells of the plurality of cells; wherein the one or more operations relate to the use of the one cell as a secondary cell for the communication device.
Abstract:
A method of co-ordinating communication between a plurality of base stations in a communication system, comprising designating timeslots where said base stations receive and/or transit co-ordination messages to each other. The system may be an autonomous cellular system and the timeslots may be regularly spaced.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method, apparatus and a computer program product for carrier aggregation optimization. The present invention includes receiving, at a base station, information from another base station regarding usage of PCell and SCell per carrier at the another base station, analyzing, at the base station, the received information, configuring, at the base station, PCells and SCells for user equipment served by the base station based on the analysis of the received information.
Abstract:
A method including configuring one or more reference signals and/or channels in a carrier bandwidth including one or more physical resource units; and causing information on the configuration of said one or more reference signals and/or channels to be provided to another base station using a same or overlapping carrier bandwidth.
Abstract:
This document discloses a solution of interference coordination in wireless communication systems where a base station may request a specified load report from another base station. A first base station may store load information of terminal devices associated with the identifier of strongest interference source for each terminal device. The first base station may receive a load report request from a second base station. The first base station may respond to the second base station with a load report including load information of only terminal devices whose strongest interference source is the second base station. The second base station may receive the load report further and provide communication resources on the basis of the received load report.

Abstract:
The exemplary embodiments of the invention provide at least a method and an apparatus to perform operations including in response to an indication of a handover by a mobile device to another network cell, adjusting network measurement parameters from a first configuration to a second configuration based at least on a cell type of the another network cell, and performing measurements in the another network cell using the adjusted measurement parameters. In addition, the exemplary embodiments of the invention provide at least a method and apparatus to perform operations including determining, by a network node, an optimal measurement configuration to be used in another network cell based at least on a cell type of the another network cell, and sending information including an indication of the measurement configuration towards a mobile device.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus are provided. The method includes providing a primary secondary cell by a second node for a user equipment operating in dual connectivity with a first node and the second node; and receiving a request from the user equipment requesting that the primary secondary cell provide the functionality of a primary cell for the user equipment when a radio link between the user equipment and a primary cell provided by the first node is lost.
Abstract:
A method comprising: receiving first information at a user equipment, storing at least some of the received first information at the user equipment; in response to incorrect decoding of at least some of the received first information by the user equipment, receiving second information at the user equipment, the second information comprising a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) re-transmission of at least some of the first information, and the second information further comprising a scheduling allocation, the scheduling allocation comprising scheduling information of the received first information; and using the scheduling allocation, by the user equipment, to perform soft-combining of the stored first information and the received re-transmission of at least some of the first information.
