    Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of producing a plastic optical fiber having a small transmission loss. The method includes subjecting the plastic optical fiber to heat treatment. The plastic optical fiber includes a core portion and a cladding portion, the core portion is formed of a perfluorinated resin and having a refractive index gradient in a radial direction thereof.

    Abstract: A pressure-sensitive-adhesive layer attached polarizing film comprises a polarizing film in which a transparent protective film is laid on/over at least one surface of a polarizer to interpose an adhesive layer between the surface and the transparent protective film, and a pressure-sensitive-adhesive layer laminated on a transparent protective film side of the polarizing film. The adhesive-layer-laid surface of the polarizer is subjected to an activating treatment. The adhesive layer is a cured product layer of an adhesive composition. The adhesive composition comprises an active-energy-ray-curable component, and a shrinkage inhibitor having a structural formula having an M-O bond wherein M is silicon, titanium, aluminum or zirconium, and O represents an oxygen atom.

    Abstract: An active energy ray-curable adhesive composition comprising radically polymerizable compounds (A), (B) and (C) as curable components, wherein the radically polymerizable compound (A) has an SP value of 29.0 (kJ/m3)1/2 to 32.0 (kJ/m3)1/2; the radically polymerizable compound (B) has an SP value of 18.0 (kJ/m3)1/2 to less than 21.0 (kJ/m3)1/2; the radically polymerizable compound (C) has an SP value of 21.0 (kJ/m3)1/2 to 23.0 (kJ/m3)1/2, and the composition comprises 1.0 to 30.0% by weight of the radically polymerizable compound (A), 35.0 to 98.0% by weight of the radically polymerizable compound (B), and 1.0 to 30.0% by weight of the radically polymerizable compound (C) based on 100% by weight of the total amount of the composition.

    Abstract: A plastic optical fiber includes a plastic optical fiber body and a coloring member covering a peripheral surface of the plastic optical fiber body. The coloring member is made from a cured product of a curable composition containing an active-energy-ray-curable multifunctional acrylate and a coloring agent. The reaction percentage yield of the vinyl group of the active-energy-ray-curable multifunctional acrylate in the coloring member is 85% or more.
