Abstract: In wireless communications for multi-users, an access point may generate a first frame for allocating resources to a plurality of stations. The first frame may contain an indication as to whether a station(s) is allocated at least one of a set of resource units (RUs) of a plurality of RUs, such as a center 26-tone RU. The set of resource units may be based on a channel bandwidth of the wireless communications. The indication may be contained in a common block field of signal fields, such as a common block field of high efficiency (HE) signal content channel(s) of an HE signal field. The station(s) may receive the first frame and determine whether the one of the set of RUs is allocated. The station(s) may transmit a second frame to the access point based on resource allocation information in the first frame. Other methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for transmitting a frame is provided by a device in a wireless communication network. The device compensates a carrier frequency using a value of carrier frequency offset (CFO), and transmits a frame with the compensated carrier frequency to a receiver. The value of the CFO is indicated in TXVECTOR. A method for transmitting a frame is provided by a device in a wireless communication network. The device allocates data tones for a last symbol based on a payload size, generates the last symbol having repeated waveforms and transmits a frame including at least one period waveform of the repeated waveforms in the last symbol.

Abstract: In wireless communications for multi-users, an access point may transmit a first trigger frame to one or more stations. The first trigger frame may be for scheduling a first uplink multi-user transmission and may indicate a plurality of resources for indicating existence of data to be sent to the access point. The station(s) may process the first trigger frame received from the access point. In response to the first trigger frame, the station(s) may generate and transmit a respective first uplink frame to the access point. In some cases, the first uplink frame(s) from the station(s) does not have a data field and does have a signal indicating existence of data to be sent from the station(s) to the access point. The signal may be sent using a resource(s) of the plurality of resources. Other methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method implemented by a first network device in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) to provide Modulation Coding Scheme (MCS) feedback. The method includes selecting an MCS that is determined to have a highest data rate among a plurality of available MCSes that when used to transmit a frame having a reference payload size over a wireless communications link between the first network device and a second network device results in a frame error rate that is less than or equal to a threshold error rate for a given set of transmission properties, generating a frame having a Media Access Control (MAC) header, wherein a control field of the MAC header includes an indication of the selected MCS, and transmitting the generated frame to the second network device through a wireless medium.

Abstract: A process and system provides a high efficiency (HE) sounding procedure that enables a beamformer to signal to each beamformee support for responses allowing other forms of feedback from the beamformee instead of explicit feedback. Abstract: A method and system for improving the accuracy of phase and frequency offset during multiple in multiple out (MIMO) channel estimation in a sounding procedure. The improved phase and frequency offset process selects resource allocation unit configuration to ensure a minimum pilot density from the available operation modes.
