Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices and computer readable media for communication. A terminal device receives, from a first network device, a conditional reconfiguration for a set of candidate cells, the conditional reconfiguration comprising information indicating that a subsequent conditional cell change is enabled for at least one candidate cell in the set of candidate cells. If a cell change or addition is performed based on the conditional reconfiguration, the terminal device maintains at least a portion of the conditional reconfiguration for use in the subsequent conditional cell change. In this way, a procedure of a subsequent conditional cell change may be enabled.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to small data transmission. Although the present disclosure, the stored data is not taken into consideration when calculating data volume for small data transmission, and thus correct data volume value can be obtained thereby. Further, the terminal device may obtain information about volume of new data before calculating data volume for small data transmission. In addition, during small data transmission, the reported buffer status report may indicate an actual state of the remaining small data transmission data. Further, when the terminal device fails to transmit small data transmission data via 4-step random access procedure, the terminal device may fall back to 4-step random access small data transmission properly.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for supporting a successful handover report. In a method for communication, a terminal device receives a report configuration from a first network device providing a first cell. The report configuration indicates whether a successful handover report is to be generated for a handover of the terminal device from the first cell to a second cell of a second network device. Then, the terminal device applies the report configuration during performing of the handover. Through the embodiments of the present disclosure, the terminal device may be limited to reporting a successful handover report if the source network device considers the successful handover report as necessary, thereby saving the processing resources and communication resources for the potentially unnecessary successful handover reports.

A terminal device determines whether a radio link control, RLC, entity re-establishment for a radio bearer is to be performed, the radio bearer being configured with a transmission of data in an inactive state. If it is determined that the RLC entity re-establishment is to be performed, the terminal device re-establishes the RLC entity. After that, the terminal device transmits uplink data in the inactive state on the radio bearer. In this way, an RLC entity re-establishment is able to be handled for radio bearer configured with SDT if the terminal device determines that the RLC entity re-establishment needs to be performed for the SDT, thereby improving performance of the SDT procedure.
