Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus capable of transmitting video data to a display panel. The apparatus includes a managing unit configured to manage history information on a program transmitted to individual display panels in association with display panel information, a first determination unit configured to determine whether the program transmitted to the display panels is a restricted program that requires authentication information, a second determination unit configured, if the program is determined to be the restricted program, to determine, using the history information, whether the display panel is a display panel that displayed the restricted program in the past, and a control unit configured to transmit video data of the restricted program to the display panel if the display panel displayed the restricted program in the past.
Abstract:
This invention solves various problems associated with apparatus registration and communications after registration in an n:n communication system based on, e.g., a Bluetooth protocol. Information of a newly registered wireless communication apparatus is sent to already registered wireless communication apparatuses. A communication with the already registered apparatus starts by sending a Page message based on the Bluetooth protocol. When an apparatus that output a registration request in response to an Inquiry message based on the Bluetooth protocol is selected, identification information of the selected apparatus is stored. Upon registration, already registered apparatuses are not displayed.
Abstract:
Data communicated on one wireless channel is converted and communicated via a wired line. Alternatively, data communicated on a plurality of wireless channels is bundled and communicated via a wired line using a number of channels smaller than that of the wireless channels. In a case where another wireless communication apparatus wishes to use a wireless communication channel when a plurality of wireless channels are being used for communication, some of the plurality of wireless channels are released, thereby making it possible for the other communication apparatus to perform communication even when communication is being carried out using the plurality of wireless channels. When communication by the other wireless communication apparatus subsequently ends, communication on the original number of wireless channels is resumed.
Abstract:
A decline in effective data transmission speed and interference between adjacent channels are prevented in a wireless telecommunication system. A hopping pattern used in direct communication between wireless telecommunication terminals is stored in the wireless telecommunication terminal, and communication is performed upon synchronizing a hopping pattern used in communication via a main unit and the hopping pattern used in direct communication between wireless telecommunication terminals.
Abstract:
A telephone exchange system of this invention has a terminal connected to an extension by radio. As a radio communication modulation method, a spread spectrum method is used. A speech signal received from a line by the telephone exchange system is exchanged by an exchange switch, and is supplied to a data conversion unit. The data conversion unit causes a serial/parallel converter to covert a serial input signal into a parallel signal. The converted parallel signal is subjected to spread-spectrum modulation in units of parallel bits. The modulated signal bits are added to each other by an adder, and the sum signal is multiplexed on a carrier signal. The multiplexed signal is transmitted to the terminal. Upon reception of the signal, the terminal causes a phase synchronization circuit to generate an inverse spread code corresponding to a spread code, and synchronized with the reception signal, and inversely spreads the reception signal using the generated inverse spread code. The inversely spread signal is converted into a serial signal by a parallel/serial converter, i.e., is demodulated into a speech signal. When a signal is transmitted from the terminal, the said procedure as described above is executed in the opposite direction.
Abstract:
An exchange apparatus which encloses a plurality of extension terminals and connects the extension terminal designated by a signal from a line wire to the line wire, includes: a memory to store an attribute of the extension terminal; a comparator to compare an attribute designated by the signal from the line wire such as a transmission side terminal with the attribute of the extension terminal stored in the memory; and a changing circuit for changing the attribute of the extension terminal stored in the memory so as to coincide with the attribute designated by the signal from the line wire in the case where the result of the comparison by the comparator indicates that the attributes differ. Even if an attribute such as a data transmission rate or the like of the transmission side terminal differs from an attribute of the data terminal connected to the extension, communication can be started without disconnecting a call and the operating efficiency can be raised.
Abstract:
There is provided a key telephone system which can use data registered in a memory card. The system comprises: a main apparatus which has a memory and operates in accordance with the data stored in the memory; and an extension telephone having a receiving circuit to receive data from a memory card, wherein the main apparatus stores the data which was received by the extension telephone from the memory card into the memory. With this system, data such as names, denominations, telephone numbers, and the like of the partners can be registered into a portable device such as a memory card by the keyboard of the extension telephone or by the keyboard of the portable device at a remote location at an arbitrary time.
Abstract:
A device control apparatus in a video image display system including a plurality of connected devices. The apparatus includes an obtaining unit which obtains a logical address of a first device connected to the device control apparatus as a control object, a specifying unit which specifies the device type of the first device if the obtained logical address of the first device is not a logical address according to the device type, a selection unit which selects a second device which is connected to the device control apparatus and is of the same device type as the first device, and a control unit which controls a logical address assigned to the selected second device according to the device type thereof so that the first device obtains a logical address.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention generally relate to the printing of an image. In one version, first image data representing a first background image of a first size is stored in a memory. A printing apparatus is connected via a network to a server that stores second image data representing a second background image of a second size that is greater than the first size. A condition for printing is set based on image data representing an image to be printed. Based on the set condition, the image data representing the image to be printed is synthesized with the first image data representing the background image that is stored in the memory or the second image data obtained from the server by accessing the server via the network. Printing is performed based on the synthesized image data.
Abstract:
In a communication apparatus corresponding to an analog communication path of a voice band and a network communication path, high-speed and high-reliability data communication are performed by selecting an appropriate communication path without troublesome user operation. A communication apparatus which performs IP communication and analog communication via an ADSL gateway obtains the IP address of a destination station from an SIP proxy server and transmits/receives communication data to/from the destination station on an IP network by a file transmit/receive protocol such as FTP, HTTP or the like, when the telephone number of the destination station corresponds to a VoIP network. The apparatus performs analog facsimile communication on a line switching network when the telephone number of the destination station does not correspond to the VoIP network. The apparatus performs the analog facsimile communication on the VoIP network or the line switching network when the destination station corresponds to the VoIP network but does not have any digital communication means.
