摘要: The present invention relates to the recombinant production of a protein of interest in a prokaryotic host cell or eukaryotic host cell wherein the protein of interest is obtained in a correctly folded and stable form. The protein of interest may be a difficult-to-make polypeptide for use as a vaccine or a pharmaceutical. The protein of interest is co-expressed with or fused to a ‘fold promoter’, which may be a VHH antibody recognizing the said protein.

摘要: The present invention pertains in the fields of antibody technology, protein engineering, medicine, pharmacology, infection biology, virology, and medical diagnostics. More specifically, the present disclosure provides VHH antibodies that prevent cell entry of and infection by SARS-CoV-2, a strategy for an enhanced block of the homotrimeric viral spike proteins by symmetry-matching VHH-fusions, implementations of this strategy, as well as VHH antibodies for sensitive detection of SARS-CoV2-infections.
