Abstract: A device, method and system for adjusting a configuration of a camera device is provided. An example device is in communication with an example camera device having a configuration. The device receives an image sequence from the camera device. The device processes the image sequence to determine a predicted location of a target object identified in the image sequence based on movement of the target object in the image sequence. The device adjusts the configuration of the camera device based on a stored configuration of the camera device, the stored configuration indicative of conditions at the predicted location.

Abstract: A method for authentication queuing in access control systems is provided. The method may include establishing, by an access control system, a first wireless connection with a mobile device. The method further includes authenticating the mobile device over the first wireless connection. The method also includes adding the mobile device to a first authenticated devices queue associated with a first physical access point. The method includes sending a reconnection parameter to the mobile device. The method additionally includes disconnecting the first wireless connection to the mobile device.

Abstract: A first device in a group of devices is assigned a role of operating as an elected leader node for the group of devices. The elected leader node determines that a sensor entity of a sensor entity type is associated with one device in the group of communication devices. The elected leader node creates a token and associates the token with the sensor entity. The elected leader node also assigns ownership for the token to one device based on the device being associated with the sensor entity and further based on one or more of: at least one incident allocation criterion; at least one sensor entity allocation criterion; and at least one node allocation criterion. One device executes at least one predefined sensor entity rule associated with the sensor resource type based on ownership of the token assigned to the sensor entity.

Abstract: Visual perception determination assistance system and method. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, at an electronic computing device, a primary video or still image from an imaging device; receiving, at the electronic computing device, at least one vision impact parameter from at least one sensor device, the at least one vision impact parameter being indicative of an ability of an observer to visually perceive a scene captured in the primary video or still image; storing the primary video or still image and the at least one vision impact parameter in a memory; identifying, by a processor electrically coupled to the memory, a timing correlation between the primary video or still image and the at least one vision impact parameter; and storing the timing correlation in the memory.

Abstract: Methods and systems for displaying messages using body-worn electronic display devices. One method includes receiving proximity data indicating a distance between a first electronic display device and a second electronic display device. The method also includes receiving first orientation data indicating an orientation of the first electronic display device and receiving second orientation data indicating an orientation of the second electronic display device. The method also includes determining a distributed message for display based on the proximity data, the first orientation data, and the second orientation data. The distributed message includes a first message for display on the first electronic display device and a second message for display on the second electronic display device. The method also includes displaying, by a controller, the first message on the first electronic display device and the second message on the second electronic display device.

Abstract: A communication system and method provide fight detection capability. Bodily parameters associated with fighting, such as limb movements, are pre-stored and individualized for a particular user. The characterization of a fight using limb movements allows for a system that can recognize a fight even when a user is unable to call for assistance. Other bodily parameters are further monitored and weighted to distinguish a fight from other activities. The automatic notification to a dispatch center or control center and notification to peer radios expedites the ability to bring aid to the user.

The method includes storing, in a memory, the object of interest, the annotation input, and the metadata.

Abstract: A device, system and method for generating an alert and an automatic search for a candidate subject is provided. The device monitors one or more data sources to identify a candidate subject. The device determines, from rules for rating candidate subjects stored in a memory, a rating of the candidate subject. When the rating meets a first threshold: the device transmits, to one or more communication devices, an alert identifying the candidate subject. When the rating meets a second threshold, lower than the first threshold: the devices provides, a classifier defining the candidate subject to an object recognition engine to cause the object recognition engine to automatically search for the candidate subject, using the classifier, in multimedia data received at one or more edge devices. The multimedia data may include images.
