摘要： A fastener driving tool including a power source having a reciprocating driver blade, a tool nose associated with the power source for receiving the driver blade for driving fasteners fed into the nose, a magazine constructed and arranged to house a supply of the fasteners and a magazine feeder mechanism associated with the magazine for sequentially feeding fasteners into the nose. The feeder mechanism operates between a retracted position and an advanced position. An electromechanical retention device is operationally associated with the feeder mechanism and is configured for retaining the feeder mechanism in the retracted position until the driver blade is positioned to allow fastener advancement into the nose.

摘要： A combustion chamber system, for use within a combustion-powered fastener-driving tool, comprises a dual combustion chamber system comprising a pre-combustion chamber and a final combustion chamber. The pre-combustion chamber is characterized by a high aspect ratio and has different obstacles fixedly incorporated therein for selectively retarding and enhancing the rate of burn and the rate of speed of the flame front propagating through the pre-combustion chamber. In addition, an obstacle, having a predetermined solid geometrical configuration is disposed within the final combustion chamber at a position immediately disposed downstream of a port fluidically interconnecting the pre-combustion chamber to the final combustion chamber so as to cause the flame front to diverge and split into multiple components which flow radially outwardly throughout the final combustion chamber.

摘要： A mechanism for generating a flame jet has a volume formed of at least one vertical structure and two opposing horizontal structures. A rotatable fan is located within the volume, and is rotatable in a plane generally parallel to the planes of the horizontal structures. The mechanism also contains means for igniting a combustible gas which is contained within the volume, to propel a flame jet outside of the volume.

摘要： A full-round head nail having an offset head is configured with a gusset formed integrally between an undersurface of the offset head and a superior portion of a shank. The head of the nail is relatively thin, and the shank is positioned radially off center of the round head such that no heel is formed at a point tangential to both the head and the shank. The gusset has a lofted surface tapering radially from a roundness at the zero heel to a taper at the toe. The gusset reinforces the junction of the shank with the head, supports the toe of the head, and distributes the force of a load on the head through a longitudinal axis of the shank, preventing the toe from bending or yielding and prevents the shank from yielding to the stresses of the load applied.

摘要： A hot melt adhesive or other thermoplastic material dispensing valve assembly comprises a pair of oppositely disposed electromagnetic solenoid assemblies which alternatively act upon a pair of armatures which are fixedly mounted upon a valve stem, upon which is fixedly mounted a valve member, so as to rapidly and assuredly control the reciprocal movements of the valve stem, and the valve member attached thereto, between its unseated or OPENED position and its seated or CLOSED position. A coil spring also biases the valve stem and the valve member toward the seated or CLOSED position such that when both of the electromagnetic solenoid assemblies are de-energized, the coil spring maintains the valve member at its seated or CLOSED position upon the valve seat.

摘要： In a dust filter baghouse which employs a small-diameter filter cartridge, the same attachment structure is adapted for installation of the cartridge from either below or above the baghouse tube sheet. The cartridge has an annular cap having an external bead which is received within an annular recess of a skirt portion of a hollow boot which is clamped to the cap of the cartridge and extends up to the tube sheet. Where the cartridge has to be installed from below the tube sheet, a cylindrical cup is provided having an inward flange at its upper end which is secured to the tube sheet. The cylindrical cup has an annular external recess which receives an annular internal bead on the hollow boot. Where the cartridge is installed from above the tube sheet, an external annular groove in an outwardly extending flange at the upper end of the hollow boot is received within the peripheral edge of the hole in the tube sheet.
