摘要: Disclosed is a basket 50 that is located within a basket containment vessel, into which a boric acid solution capable of dissolving a pH adjuster flows, and can allow a pH adjuster solution to flow out by the inflowing boric acid solution. The basket 50 includes a plurality of containment units 71 stacked in a vertical direction with a predetermined first space L1 therebetween. The pH adjuster can be stored in each of the containment units 71. Also disclosed is a pH adjusting device including the basket 50, the basket containment vessel in which the basket 50 can be contained and in which cooling water can be stored, and an overflow pipe that, within the basket containment vessel, allows the pH adjuster solution that is obtained from the pH adjuster dissolved in the cooling water to flow out.

摘要: A pressure bulkhead has a plurality of holes and divides a low-pressure chamber at low pressure in the vertical direction. A cooling-tube bank is located in an upper section of the low-pressure chamber and performs heat exchange with low-pressure steam guided to the low-pressure chamber by introducing coolant therein to condense the low-pressure steam to low-pressure steam condensate. A reheat chamber serves as a lower section of the low-pressure chamber and stores the low-pressure steam condensate falling from the holes in the pressure bulkhead. A high-pressure-steam introducing unit introduces high-pressure steam within a high-pressure chamber at high pressure to the reheat chamber. A plurality of plate members are parallel to each other below the pressure bulkhead and extend in a falling direction of the condensate falling from the holes in the pressure bulkhead.

摘要: The present invention provides an industrially advantageous method for producing an optically active naphthalene compound useful as a therapeutic agent for dermatitis or the like. Specifically, the present invention provides a method for producing an optically active naphthalene compound [I], which comprises: a step of reacting a compound [a-1] and a compound [b-1] with each other in the presence of a base and a catalyst that is composed of a Pd compound and a tertiary phosphine ligand (step a); a step of asymmetrically hydrogenating a compound [c-1] in the presence of a hydrogen donor and a complex that is prepared from a ruthenium compound and a chiral ligand, or alternatively in the presence of an optically active oxazaborolidine compound (a CBS catalyst) and a boron hydride compound (step b); and a step of treating a compound [d-1] with a reducing agent (step c). (In the above formulae, Ra and Rb represent the same or different lower alkyl groups; and X1 represents a halogen atom.).

摘要: A steam generator is provided in which the total heat transfer efficiency can be improved by suppressing a reduction in the amount of heat exchange at an inlet side of heat transfer tubes while maintaining the effect of increasing the amount of heat exchange at an outlet side thereof. A steam generator includes a heat transfer tube group formed of a plurality of heat transfer tubes secured to a tube plate; an annular channel that is formed so as to cover the circumference of the heat transfer tube group and that has an opening for communicating with the heat transfer tube group at a lower portion thereof; a water supply box that is disposed at an upper portion of the annular channel and that supplies water to a cold-side portion of the heat transfer tubes; and a steam/water separator that is disposed above the heat transfer tube group and that separates water heated while passing from the annular passage along the circumference of the heat transfer tubes into steam and hot water, in which a porous plate for removing air bubbles is provided at an upper portion of the annular channel in the hot-side portion of the heat transfer tubes.

摘要: An object is to prevent thermal fatigue, resulting from variations in temperature interfaces, of piping having a fluid-mixing region where fluids of different temperatures are mixed. Piping 1 having a fluid-mixing region M includes a reducer 5 including an end portion 5e disposed substantially on a central axis of a main pipe 2. Low-temperature water flows through the reducer 5 at a lower velocity than high-temperature water flowing outside the end portion 5e. The low-temperature water and the high-temperature water have different temperatures. The low-temperature water and the high-temperature water are mixed in the fluid-mixing region M downstream of the reducer 5. The reducer 5 has a weld line 5f formed to connect the end portion 5e and an elbow portion 5d together. The distance between the weld line 5f and a downstream end 5a is equal to or larger than the inner diameter D of the main pipe 2.
