    摘要: A light radiator is described which is capable of being threadably attached to the light-emitting end of a fiber optic cable to radiate light rays transmitted therethrough. The light-guide rod has a thread at a circumference of its one end in order to be threadably connected to the light-emitting end of the fiber optic cable and the light-guide rod has a spiral groove at its circumference. The spiral groove gradually getting deeper as it approaches the rod's tip in order to diffusively radiate the light therefrom.

    摘要: A solar ray-collecting device comprising a Fresnel lens, an optical coupling made of a tip-cut conical light guide and an optic cable is described. The solar rays focused by the lens are received at the large end of the optical coupling and discharged from the small end of the optical coupling and further guided into the optic cable. The Fresnel lens has a numerical aperture smaller than that of the optic cable. The optical coupling has the light-emitting end with the numerical aperture equal to that of the optic cable so as to eliminate the reflection loss. The light-emitting end of the optical coupling being adhesively joined to the light-receiving end of the optic cable by the use of an optical paste.

    摘要: A light rays radiation device for administering oral medical treatment to a person's gums that has a light ray radiating tool attachably and removably connected with the light ray emitting end-portion of an optical conductor cable through which the light rays corresponding to the visible light ray components of solar rays are transmitted to the light ray radiation tool. The light ray radiation tool has a mouthpiece having a transparent curved surface corresponding to the shape of the gums and a large number of optical fibers imbedded in the mouthpiece. The large number of optical fibers are constructed in such a manner that the end portions thereof are placed over the entire area of the transparent curved surface so as to be opposite the gum area and the other-side portions thereof are capable of being connected with the light ray emitting end portion of the optical conductor cable.

The lens is tightly inserted into the hexagonal portion and held therein by means of a tongue piece for pressing the lens.

In order to illuminate a sufficiently wide region surrounding the optical-conductor cable, a cladding layer of the optical-conductor cable located in the region to be illuminated is excised, and the outer surface of the thus exposed core of the optical-conductor cable is topically covered by a fine grain adhesive with a refractive index equal to or greater than that of said core. The resulting adhesive elements are relatively densely distributed toward a downstream direction and thinly distributed upstream, or the adhering area of the elements is selected to be smaller upstream and larger downstream.

    摘要: Lighting by the sunlight is available in every space in a building, even those spaces which have been hardly utilized such as the basement and ground water pit. The sunlight is collected and guided by optical cables to light radiators which are located in intended spaces of a building. The basement has a cistern for water therein to afford a shelter in the case of emergency, while the ground water pit which is also lighted by the conducted sunshine is usable to cultivate fish, plants, and other foodstuffs. The building is annular except for its first floor so that a cylindrical open space is defined thereinside and also lighted by the sunlight, thereby introducing the sunlight even into the radially innermost spaces of the sunlight.
