摘要: In an electrolyzer comprising an anode compartment provided with porous anodes, a cathode compartment, and a membrane providing a partition between the anode compartment and the cathode compartment, wherein a solution containing sulfide ions is introduced into the anode compartment, and an aqueous solution containing caustic soda is introduced into the cathode compartment, thereby producing a polysulfide containing polysulfide sulfur through electrolytic oxidation, wherein the anode compartment of the electrolyzer is cleaned with the use, of an aqueous solution containing at least either one of an inorganic acid, a chelating agent, and a scale-cleaning agent, thereby recovering performance of the electrolyzer. Further, when the contents of the anode compartment are replaced with an alkaline aqueous solution containing not more than 0.1 mass % of sulfide ions and not more than 0.1 mass % of carbonate ions upon stopping the electrolytic oxidation, thereby maintaining the performance of the electrolyzer.

摘要: The first invention aims to provide a method for preparing stiffer bulky pulp at a freeness level comparable to that obtained by mechanical treatments to improve the bulkiness of product paper by searching for a method capable of adjusting freeness while suppressing damage to pulp fibers and internal fibrillation in a process for producing pulp. The second invention aims to strip contaminants deposited on pulp fibers and/or inorganic particles to reduce adhesion of the contaminants and decrease microorganisms in a treatment of process water containing long pulp fiber fractions used in a process for producing pulp and paper, thereby clarifying process water and thus preparing high-quality pulp and paper.According to the first invention, cavitation is generated in a pulp suspension preferably by a liquid jet and the resulting fine bubbles are introduced into the pulp suspension to adjust the pulp suspension to a desired freeness by means of the impact force induced by collapse of the fine bubbles in a process for producing pulp. According to the second invention, process water containing 50% by weight or less, based on total solids, of long pulp fiber fractions used in a process for producing pulp and/or paper is treated by cavitation generated by a liquid jet and then returned to the process for producing pulp and/or paper and reused.

摘要: The present invention aims to produce high-quality recycled pulp with little damage to fibers, high brightness and low residual ink by means of a force selectively acting on fiber surfaces during the process of recycling waste paper. Moreover, fiber surfaces are modified by means of a force acting on only the fiber surfaces to obtain high-quality pulp and to render harmless dirts deteriorating pulp quality.A method for producing recycled pulp characterized in that cavitation is generated and used to strip contaminants deposited on fibers and ash during the process of recycling waste paper. Contaminants such as ink deposited on fibers and ash are stripped/fragmented by means of the impact force induced by collapse of fine bubbles by actively introducing bubbles generated by cavitation into a pulp suspension. A jet system having one or more nozzles for jetting an aqueous slurry containing a material comprising cellulose into a vessel.

摘要: An apparatus for applying coating material in the form of stripes onto a film traveling in a predetermined direction is provided with a coating material nozzle which effuses coating material while supporting the film. The contact support surface of the nozzle in contact with the film is a flat surface, along which the film travels. The coating material nozzle has thereon applicator grooves for uniformly forming the cross-sectional shape of coating material applied in the form of stripes onto the film. Effusion ports or discharge ports for coating material are provided in the bottom surface of the applicator grooves. Coating material is fed to the coating material nozzle through a gear pump, which is adapted to control the coating material supply so that the coating material within the applicator grooves has a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure. In addition, there may be provided a plate member for blowing air uniformly and opposed to the contact support surface of the coating material nozzle contacted by the film. The air from this plate is blown against the traveling film on its rear side.

摘要: A papermaking raw material processor capable of reforming pulp in papermaking a process using cavitation includes a first pump 5 jets jet liquid and second pump 6 jets suspension containing; e.g., pulp fibers into a processing unit inside which cavitation is generated by generation of a jet stream. Inside processing unit 2, a jet stream generates cavitation to carry out a reforming processing in which ink, or the like, is removed from the fibers by a blast resulting from collapse of cavitation bubbles generated there. The liquid after reforming processing is returned to second tank 4, except for a part of it fed to downstream steps, while the suspension is processed, as circulated between processing unit 2 and second tank 6.

摘要: A coating head assembly for applying a coating material to a web, comprises an applicator block; a paint reservoir defined in the applicator block for the storage of the coating material; and a generally elongated nozzle integral with the applicator block and extending in a direction substantially transverse to the direction of transportation of the web. A free edge of the nozzle opposite to the applicator block has a generally curved nozzle face. This nozzle face has a plurality of applicator grooves defined therein in communication with the paint reservoir. During the passage of the web in sliding contact with the nozzle face, the coating material is supplied outwardly from the applicator grooves for the transfer thereof onto the web, resulting in the formation of a striped pattern of the coated layer on the web.
